Après L'ondée - Guerlain
Thread: SotD Thursday 9 August
Aria Missoni by Missoni, this is so 80s. It is loud and the topnotes smell like bubble gum. According to fragrancex, it said it is a concotion of pineapple, raspberry with a heart of jasminie and rose. Finishing off this fragrance is vanilla and musk. I found this perfume when I was in Jasina, Singapore. The SA persuaded me to take it home. It is in the EDT strength but it has a magnificent staying power and reminds me of the Gucci Rush, pungent and daring.
Après L'ondée - Guerlain
Wishlist is pointless.
Coney Island. Still warm here in London so making the most of it.
Coconut that sounds like a great scent. I love Gucci Rush. I had it on the other day.
Indiscreet I think you are going to use your whole bottle by the end of this week lol. I think I'm going to have to take a trip to Saks. I can't get Coney Island of my mind either.
Ohh I don't know what I'll be wearing today. It's my exfoliation day. More than likely it will be Aveda Patchouli. My skin is usually a little raw and the alcohol from the frags make me feel like I'm on fire. The Aveda Patchouli oil never causes any irritation. I love it.
Diva is fartin in your perfume mist before you walk through it!! Walk slow and let it marinate......
Divatologist....Breaking perfume rules since 1969
I smells goooooooooooood! Don't believe me? Come smell me!!
"The Divatologist Perfume Application Method" is now available!!! Learn It, Live It, Love It Click Here! Many Compliments Await You!
Tubéreuse Criminelle - I split a bottle with a friend yesterday, who unaccountably doesn't really get the love for the belljar as an object, so she's let me have it. Hurrah!
I´m wearing Peau de Peche (Keiko Mecheri) today (sample).
Nice enough, but to anonymous to be FBW for me.
Have a nice Thursday everyone! :bounce:
Everything passes. Everything changes. Just do what you think you should do.
"Like a lobster with a pearl in its claw, the beet held the jasmine firmly without crushing or obscuring it. Beet lifted jasmine, the way a bullnecked partner lifts a ballerina, and the pair came on stage on citron's fluty cue. As if jasmine were a collection of beautiful paintings, beet hung it in the galleries of the nose, insured it against fire or theft, threw a party to celebrate it. Citron mailed the invitations." Carnal flower for me today.
Have a great day everyone!
I'm simplifying my life. For Sale Thread (some niche, some designer):
First of all, I want to say to everybody who left me their good wishes on yesterdays SotD thread!
I so appreciate you all sharing my GOOD NEWS & want to give each of you a vintage red rose from my front rose garden!
If I could bottle the scent it emits, I'd send everybody a generous decant!!
And secondly I want to say I LOVE my new bottle of Eau de Cartier (thank you Vijay).
I smelled delightful today at work! And the bottle is way cool!!
Beauty is an ecstasy; it is as simple as hunger. There is really nothing to be said about it. It is like the perfume of a rose: you can smell it and that is all. W.SOMERSET MAUGHAM

Cutest post ever, Sudsy. I feel the love.
Worried about Taolady's feeling puny. Stay comfy, pamper yourself.
Got a craving for the world's best floriental IMHO: Boucheron edp.

In a world where 6 million people are added each month, every landscape matters.
Le Baiser du Dragon for me today. Yuuum! I really like this one!

A bit interesting is that I'm feeling bad about myself this morning. This is a first for me, I don't find anything in my wardrobe or my imagination that I want to wear. Fragrance always lifts me up when I'm blue, but it is unappealing when I'm ashamed of myself. I'll deal with these issues, process them, resolve and accept my decisions and get back to you all.
Please, spritz responsibly.
Phew. Finally time to log in and read everything.
Sudsy dear , so glad to hear your good news!!
And it seems my lovely Godchild CoCo is even more beautiful after her haircut. Any pictures, 'happy one'?
Thanks for your good wishes yesterday, my dearies. They did help a lot.
No idea anymore what I was wearing this morning. Just grabbed a sample and it was just okay but not remarkable.
But for the evening and night: Daim Blond with a drop of VIP Room. (K)Night in black leather.....(oh well, not exactly 'black' but who cares)
The bird of paradise alights only upon the hand that does not grasp
I'm wearing Chergui this morning.
I've trademarked the color bleu
Darn it! Had a spilling accident while decanting Dzongkha for a friend in Germany, and Dzongkha is still going strong after the shower. I guess it is my SotD.
Started out wearing the new Estee Lauder Private Collection Tuberose Gardenia. It is a wonderful fragrance, pretty bottle and lots of compliments. Not cheap but got a gold Saks gift bag with it and a lipstick not sold in my city,
I also bought a week or so ago Pleasures Delight and am waiting for Prada Tendre to arrive here from Big Discount.
Chanel No.19 EDT
I wore sooooo many scents today.
Started out with Chanel No.5 Sensual Elixir for work
After work, went nuts at Harrods trying on stuff. I tried Caleche, Caleche Eau Delicatee, Amouage Sandalwood oil, and must've spritzed a million ribbons with Givenchy relaunches (Le De, Givenchy III), Loewe Quizas, Quizas, Quizas which reminds me a lot of NR for her, Chanel No.22 and Bois de Iles, the new Pucci scent, Hermes Jardin sur le Nil, Rose Ikebana, Midnight Poison...and many more I have forgotten. I am an olfactory mess but so so happy!
(and I walked away with Kenzo Le Parfum in the red bottle - I want Caleche next)

Home from two weeks in Cannes; nice to see the forum back again!
I'm also an olfactory mess after testing the entire tax-free shop in Cannes. Regretted not buying Van cleef & Arpels. Another time then...
Have refreshed myself in Eau Dynamisante, it was my holiday companion along with Femnite du bois. Both held up very well in the sizzling hot riviera sun.
Good to see you all!

Sudsy, *congrats* on your clean bill of health!!! My DH tolerates my love of scent, but rides something called the Pan-Mass Challenge (192 miles over two days on a bicycle) every year to raise money for cancer research... This year some od my BN buddies and/or their family members were on his list of people he kept on his handle bars to remind him why he's riding. We'll add you next time!
Suspect today and tomorrow my SoTD will be the same... I actually got to *meet* perfumer Neil Morris, and he let me test some scents from his "vault" -- the fragrances he's made for himself over the last many years, not included in the recently launched line. I sniffed a bunch, and bought THREE as an early birthday present to myself [[[sounds of me falling to the floor in a dead faint for spending so much money, but OMG, they are *great* frags!!!]]]
Neil Morris says the "vault" scents will be made available on his web site soon, though anyone who e-mails now can probably also hit him up for something fun! Tell him what you like, and my money's on his recommending something on target: www.neilmorrisfragrances.com
Anyhow, my SoTD is: NMF Le Parfum C'est Ma Vie. Delicious, classic "French style" perfume. Oh! [[more swoooning]]
Top Notes: Aldehydes, Raspberry, Plum Blossom
Heart Notes: Bulgarian Rose, Freesia, Narcissus, Peony and Lotus
Base Notes: Dark Amber, Sheer Musk
