Started off late afternoon with Vol de Nuit parfum.

Now I smell like a perfume shop... got all sorts of different scents on me after decanting. Lesson learned. Never decant while under the influence.

well, gosh that is exactly what I was doing this afternoon!

I liked the melange of scents, though it brought me just shy of asphyxiation!

Experiencing the different scents side by side, one after another, occasional stray droplet on the carpet or splotch on the thigh, was like having a bunch of old friends come out and play with one another.
"Like a lobster with a pearl in its claw, the beet held the jasmine firmly without crushing or obscuring it. Beet lifted jasmine, the way a bullnecked partner lifts a ballerina, and the pair came on stage on citron's fluty cue. As if jasmine were a collection of beautiful paintings, beet hung it in the galleries of the nose, insured it against fire or theft, threw a party to celebrate it. Citron mailed the invitations." What I am loving right now: Shalimar vintage extrait, Chanel Bois des Iles, Chanel no. 22, Le Labo Iris 39, Guerlain Iris Ganache

Jo Malone Orange Blossom (thx, Quarry)
In her bottled up is a woman peppery as curry,
a yam of a woman of butter and brass,
compounded of acid and sweet like a pineapple,
like a handgrenade set to explode,
    like goldenrod ready to bloom.
