"Like a lobster with a pearl in its claw, the beet held the jasmine firmly without crushing or obscuring it. Beet lifted jasmine, the way a bullnecked partner lifts a ballerina, and the pair came on stage on citron's fluty cue. As if jasmine were a collection of beautiful paintings, beet hung it in the galleries of the nose, insured it against fire or theft, threw a party to celebrate it. Citron mailed the invitations." Rochas Lui. A new purchase for me and I think I'm really going to like it a lot.

Afternoon (after gym) - Hermessence Poivre Samarcande....brilliant peppery scent. Its what I wanted CDG 2 to be but wasnt!

Finally getting around to sampling Andy Tauer's generous exclusive gift:
I get a very sweet, grape kool-aid/grape candy going on, which fades pretty quickly into a dirty, spicy, dusty floral.
Right now (two hours on) it's sort of glowering on my skin, working well in the summer heat, bringing out a touch of floral and a really EARTHY accord, like sand and dirt and flowers
Fredric Malle Noir Epices
I'm testing CB I Hate Perfume's At The Beach 1966 today. Thanks to Michael for the sample.

After hearing that it's a classic and reading the reviews, and being a big 80's fan, I couldn't resist a blind buy. I'm just not quite getting it - it's got a dry sophistication, unique character, and high quality vibe, but I just don't think it's for me.
I think somebody's gonna get a nice 2 ouncer and gift set in a trade!
David and Becca forever!!

Noggs has Monsieur Givenchy on and I wish I'd remembered my bottle of that this morning. I've meant to wear that a bit this month. Rats. Maybe tomorrow.
S.T. Dupont's Essence Pure for me. I felt like a fix of a pop-smelling scent: bamboo and aquatic notes. Maybe there's some cardamom hiding in it.
That girl, that bottle, that mattress and me.
Bulgari PH Extreme ... I guess ebear and I are frag twins for a day
Fraddicted, I find Rochas Lui to be a very interesting and enjoyable little item. Have fun with it!
Where once there was no scents to it all, now the world opens before me!
100 degrees again today in Georgia. So the natural choice is...
Really a good choice. I like it better than the Creed VIW I wore yesterday.
Tangerine Vert for the 103 degrees F heat here this afternoon! Got a hot date(my wife of 42+ years) for the library and later, supper at Red Lobster
I know, I know, it's the Kmart of seafood restaurants but we haven't been to one in a long time.
