    Default Suggestions for semi-sweet/woody/incense frags

    Hi folks,

I can find incense, I can find woody, I can find semi-sweet fragrances. However, I cant find a good combination. Looking for suggestions. What I have in mind is something along the lines of Gucci PH.

    Regards,
    S

L'Occitane's Eau des Baux is 'exactly' what you are craving my friend.... incensy/cedar top notes reminiscent of a Gucci PH type scent along with a slight smokey tea character/similar to Tea for Two... over the entirety of the development and ambery vanillic note slowly seeps it's way over the woods and spices to create a very satisfying effect... the longevity and sillage are 'outstanding'....

a very masculine yet vulnerable scent... a top 5... for sure and sold at a 'very' reasonable price.

Do yourself a huge favor and seek this out.

CdG 2Man, Parfumerie Generale Querelle, and even sweeter (but shorter lasting, unfortunately) the hard-to-find Gucci Rush.

    Best regards,

L'Instant du Guerlain Pour Homme has a semi-sweet opening, then runs the gamut of precious woods, and evolves with a smokey incense-like base that lasts for hours.
Do check this one out on your skin!

Agreed... with a little less sharpness. It's a bit sweeter, a bit more mellow - less incense.

Maybe a bit strange but I say give it a try to Shiseido-Feminitè du Bois. It is a fragrance for women, but I use it with great pleasure. If not you can give a try to some of the CdG fragrances. CdG2 is somethink like you look for but on the spicy side. CdG2 for men is not spicy but not that sweet either. It is more lemony-sweet. If I'm not wrong L'Artisan Timbuktu is also in the same line. Sometimes I get angry because of I find this site. Before that I had my own small fragrance world. After finding this site I was disappointed because I have realized that there are so many good fragrances that I want to test and know. Now I got curious when I read, in their replyes to you, all the fragrances that I haven't even heard or never had a chance to test. :-p

I second Bois d'Argent, if you can find it!

Neiman's has it online occasionally, but it sells out within a day or so every time.
    Lately I've been wearing:
Windsor, Bois de Santal, Original Santal, Elixir, Douro, Endymion, Reflection, Arcus, Marwah

I think this makes four votes for Divine l'Homme Sage.

Also try Acqua di Biella, Bursch and the CdG Incense series. Most notably Avignon and Ouarzazate.

but really, once you have Gucci Pour Homme, you can stop there, as I don't think
there is a better fragrance in that category.

    Just my opinion.
