Default How to decant attars without waste?

... Trying to send some "samples" to some friends... but I'm worried about waste.

What is the best/most economical way to do this?

Doing this with alcohol-based fragrances seems OK, even if you miss/waste a drop.

When it comes to truly concentrated, awfully expensive attars, every little drop counts.

    Thanks.

Go to the drug store, and buy some of these.
They are very cheap, and the waste is kept at
    an absolute minimum!
Works best for splash bottles, of course, but,
for spray bottles, just buy a bigger syringe.

I simply use the dabber that comes with the attar bottle, and transfer drop by drop. It's a pain, but, as you point out, the samples are usually small, a fraction of a vial, so it's feasible.

I've never tried to use a syringe. One has to make sure it works, because oils can be very thick and they won't necessary pass through. Plus, they stick to plastic. I use a plastic pipette for cheaper oils, but as said there is some loss as some oil sticks to the plastic. Perhaps glass pipettes would work better, but I haven't tried them.

The needles themselves comes in many sizes
and thicknesses (is that even a word?).
The rubber stopper, the one you press, makes
sure all liquid is squeezed out = minimal loss!

I've used a plastic pipette myself in the past (aka coffee stirer LOL) and if we're talking a few drops, you can use a glass stick (not even a pipette) which can be wiped clean later and that can be worn at the time. No matter what method, I'd wash the tool out with alcohol and wear it as a light scent.

OMG. You are a genius. I am a nurse practitioner and I NEVER THOUGHT OF THIS! I will try the 2 CC syringe just like the photo!!! YAYAYAYAY!!!

BTW the word for the thickness is the gauge.
