Default Reduced to the Max Frags ?

As example Jean Claude Ellena said he now uses less ingredients then before to create his frags, as he did with Terre d´hermes ( 30 ingredients ).

Who have this intention too ( es example Jacques Cavallier ? ) & which frags are made with this minimalist intentions ?

Can't beat Caron pour un Homme in this regard.

Peggy: "Right now, we have to get to the mental institution. Something terrible has happened."
    Latrelle: "What?"
Peggy: "Brother Boy has tried to kill himself. He jumped out of his bedroom window."
Latrelle: "Isn't he only on the second floor?"
Peggy: "Yes, but he hit his head on a lawn gnome."

puuh caron is from 1934 and Ernest Daltroff. Interesting don´t test it until now. Did look at directory now and find only this one Frag for men from him. Rest is for Women.

Did read sometimes ago that it is an very masculine azarro like frag or Antaeus ? But Antaeus have 300 ingredients right ?

Sorry, I misunderstood the original question.

Peggy: "Brother Boy has tried to kill himself. He jumped out of his bedroom window."

    The Italian line: Profumum.

Wondeful scents, although pricey. The one's with the fewest ingredients/notes are the best.

I suppose the one-note Molecule 01 (Escentric Molecules) is the ultimate example of this. Never sniffed it.
    Spray it, don’t say it…

Didn´t hear Profumum. Very luxury. Could not find prices. Can you give me an example ?

Molecule 01 is interesting. Didn´t now it too. Have to read the reviews. Thanks.

    Edit:
Really nice reviews there :--) "Fill up a decant with water and half a tablespoon of black pepper, then spray it on. That's about the equivalent."

    Perfume's master of minimalism

Jean-Claude Ellena of Hermès aims not to capture nature but to perfect it.

"I can conjure it in just two molecules, even if a real fig has 400," he says. It's that simple and that difficult, this art that combines experience and playfulness at a remove from the world.

    http://www.latimes.com/features/prin...,4162477.story

He also says much about his art to produce frags in his new book "Le Perfume" like:

"In his view, to create means to choose — and in the past 20 years, he effectively reduced his palette (he calls it his "collection") from 1000 to 200 ingredients: There are about 20 cedar notes available on the market, but I only need four of them; of all the moss absolutes, I use only one; as for methyl ionones, alpha-ketone (known for its refinement) simply lacks character, therefore I use a variant that is five times cheaper, but with a much wider and more elegant odor characteristic. (p. 41)

To give you an idea of his sense of minimalism, Ellena has used a total of just 130 components for his last 10 creations."

& here is an german Article in Welt-online about his minimalism from 2006

I feel like Gendarme scents would fit in here.

Didn´t know the Fragrance HOuse Gendarme till now but did read here a lot about Gendarme20 which i thought was an Fragrance from another fragrance house.

Have to read now especially the review section of gendarme but want to ask you before how can i get more infos about this fragrance house and his philosophy (and frags) ?

Gendarme is available in most fine stores. The thing about Ellena is although his creations are minimalistic in composition, they are not minimalistic in experience. They are breathtakingly beautiful, whereas Gendarme does not move me in this way. Even the ones I don't "like" (like some of the Hermessence), I find them beautiful.

If 30 is considered minimalistic then perhaps some of LeLabo's fragrances will appeal to you. The fragrances there hover around 30 ingredients, several having fewer, a few having more. At least check it out: http://store.lelabofragrances.com/in...24be2a1f6cf362

Yeah i find the bio here https://www.gendarme.com/companybio

Topper Schröder´s intention: "Frags without irritating skin or asthmatic reactions.". I find in the end of the text the only minimalistic idea with "Many imitations have entered the market but no one has matched the complex elegance that formulas that come to life as the simply fresh scents of Gendarme." but i can´t find infos about how many ingredients they use and so on.

thx nthny, LeLabo is new for me too so i will find more info about.

I am also looking for infos about Jacques Cavallier which i recognized must be another minimalist too ( Are M7 or RiveGauche PH not such frags ? ) but i could not find much about him.
