I find the idea that Jesus might have wanted to wear any perfume totally absurd, and couldn't follow any perfumer's aspirations in that direction. I also leave it with Cleopatra to deciding what Caesar should smell like. I wouldn't even be interested to know what he may have used personally. But Dietrich - that does get me interested. Among other perfumes, she wore Knize Ten ( If that info is correct. She did have at least one smoking tailered by Knize Berlin. Otherwise I would see something like Cuir de Russie with some of her Chanel outfits. But if Laudamiel really created something with her as the subject, I would be very interested to sample that.

That sounds like the perfect project. K. is my present day favorite perfumer, and she always has been the ultissima in musical drama, unsurpassed in the interpretation of several tragical heroines. ( Abigail, Traviata, Elvira, Medea) to this day. K's concept is just right, and he seems to also understand what she was about as an artist. I wonder what perfumes she may have preferred in her lifetime? It would be just like her to have worn particular perfumes in the parts she sang.
(ps. Lady Di - what were her perfumes?)
