Question Need Help Identifying a Note

I'm new to the fragrance thing and need some help from more experienced noses to identify a particular note or to tell me whether my chemistry / nose is way off.

Certain scents seem to contain a note that turns to rubber galoshes on me after 30 min - 1 hour.

    - Montale Blue Amber
    - Montale Vanilla Absolut
    - Il Profumo Macadam

What is this note and is it meant to smell like that?

Thank you all so much for your help.

Thank you so much!!! Sounds like my nose or body chemistry may be off when that happens.....

Maybe I shouldn't eat so much garlic.
