Default Red for Men by Giorgio Beverly Hills

Ok, some love it, others don't see what the fuss is about. As my username suggests, I'm of the former and was quite disappointed when they discontinued it.

Because I'm a Red aficionado and not an addict, I prefer not to pay some of the prices being asked on eBay and ask the Community if they're aware of any smell/wear-alikes (some have suggested Preferred Stock and Safari for Men). I'm also interested to know if any perfumer out there believes they have successfully copied the recipe (or would be interested in trying). One source I found comes close -- good top note but no staying power.

I read it in one of the threads on the board that 'Lauder' for men is a close substitute. I would say give it a try and then post your opinion here.
