    Default Patchouli and citrus

I love the deep and intense earthy scent of patchouli, but I'm wondering if there's any good fragrance that lightens the patchouli at least a little or up to 50% with citrus--say, neroli, or any orange--really any citrus (or fruit) note that provides a bit of a counterbalance, while the patchouli stays strong. Have you found anything like this? Looks like there's no info on this in previous threads. Thanks!

How about Guerlain Héritage? One list of notes gives:

Top: Bergamot oil, Coriander, Cypress, Green Note, Lavender, Lemon, Mandarin, Pepper.

Heart: Bay oil, Cinnamon, Jasmin, Lily of the Valley, Orris, Rose.

Base: Amber, Cedar, Cistus oil, Musk, Patchouli, Sandal, Styrax, Tonka.

The citrus isn't a very big player, but it's definitely there, though kind of dominated by the patchouli and vanilla.

Rochas Lui, yes, and the new kid on the block, the one I posted about just tonight -- Acqua Delle Terre Rosse by Borsari 1870. Also, try what I used to do years ago -- layer Eau Sauvage or Acqua di Parma over pure patchouli oil. Sounds weird; works well.
