Went home for lunch and did a top up of my Pamplelune ... AND did a little extra spritz of Serge Lutens' Fleurs d'Oranger on my wrists.
    FABULOUS mixture kids!
Renee, darling... you must try it! (Thank you so much for the chance to even try this.)

Seems like a secret SL gathering is going on today - I am joining the other wonderful smelling Lutensians in Chergui.
Moreover, I am joining Twolf in a respectful thought for Big Luciano who passed away tonight.

Twolf, I feel very sad too. My dad was an opera singer at Covent Garden and used to take me there when I was a child to see rehearsals. I met Pavarotti - even sat on his knee! - and also had a small walk on part as a peasant child in the opening act of Tosca, which he starred in with Gwyneth Jones.
The world was a more colourful place with him in it. It's a great loss.

Twolf and Indiscreet, it is indeed a sad day with Pavarotti's loss. A great voice has been silenced, but we were privileged to have been graced with that voice even for awhile.

    Today, Lalique edp for me.

Was decanting some CSP Vetyver Haiti for an amigo and it smelled so good it has become the SotD. It's still in the eighties here (27-28 C.) in sunny SC and Autumn is the furthest thing from my mind even though CHRISTMAS displays are sneaking in from the wings.

Couldn't believe we've lost Luciano - and so young.

    Wearing Madame X today.

I didn't check in here before I sprayed, otherwise I would have worn something SL or something Italian in Pavarotti's memory.

"Like a lobster with a pearl in its claw, the beet held the jasmine firmly without crushing or obscuring it. Beet lifted jasmine, the way a bullnecked partner lifts a ballerina, and the pair came on stage on citron's fluty cue. As if jasmine were a collection of beautiful paintings, beet hung it in the galleries of the nose, insured it against fire or theft, threw a party to celebrate it. Citron mailed the invitations."
