    Smile If perfumes were countrys?

If perfumes were countrys what would Russia be, and England ect.?

I reckon England would be something woody with rose and may be lavender. Maybe atouch of tobacco and a slight leathery feel. I don't know what actual perfume though.

So for England, maybe Tabac Blond? I dunno myself, I think I'd prefer roses. Sa Majeste La Rose maybe.

Russia? For some reason, I'm thinking Opium...no idea why, but whenever I think of Russia I think of red (that's obvious), and likewise with Opium. A red fragrance for a red country. Smells and colours, what's that about?

Sa Majeste is pink. English rose (as in the woman) blushes pink. That delicate barely there kind of pink. Yes, I think that would suit England.

For Australia (god help me) I can't get Charlie out of my head. Brash, in your face and relentless. Again what's with that? I've never even BEEN to Australia and suddenly Charlie fits? I apologise to any Australians I may have inadvertently insulted there. Just a gut thing.

I could play with this forever. But my favourite country in all the world (currently) is Greece. For Greece it would have to be Bulgari Omnia - because I smelled that for the first time in Greece and it was the perfect fragrance for where I was at the time (by the pool, being wafted by a beautiful Greek woman who had layered it on heavily that morning. I thought it was divine). But there may be other much more suitable fragrances for Greece - ones with jasmine in them, because that's what I smell when walking home from the pool in the early evening. Jasmine bushes line the road, and they start to give off their fragrance as the sun goes down. Gorgeous, gorgeous Jasmine. So A La Nuit could replace Omnia for the Greek entry.

What fun this is! I'm sure others will have many (much better) suggestions than these.

Hmmmmm -- Tabac Blond, Santos or Noir Epices for France, IMHO.

What for the USA? Maybe Aramis, maybe Jockey Club?

I think the UK would have to be either English Fern (light) or #88 (dark).

Canada: Lutens' Gris Clair, methinks. Barring that, one of Yves Rocher's better frags.

Ireland? Not Green Valley, as that's (gasp!) English made. How about Aramis 900?

Italy? Bois d'Ombrie or Moschino pour Homme -- possibly Acqua di Parma.

Germany? Don't know, just hope it's not that dreadful 4711 shit.

    Japan? Make it CDG's Kyoto.

    China? Opium.

    Right!
Now I've heard this Sienna L'hiver Eau D'Italie mentioned twice this week and I'm not going to rest until I've found out more about it!

OK, that was me stamping my little foot, but if I ask nicely will someone please point me towards somewhere I can get my greedy little paws on a sample?
    Many thanks.
Oh - sorry for being off-thread.

Ah; how about this for a suggestion - Wales could be Narcisse Noir, since the daffodil is our national flower and we're a passionate Celtic race (watch us play rugby - only men with hwyl can play like that). With Narcisse Blanc for going to church.
And for the menfolk, what about Creed's Verveine Narcisse? Daffodils and greenery, just like home in springtime. (I won't choose Green Valley because it's too obvious.)

And what about Lonestar Memories for Sweden or Finland? All that birch tar...

France: Miss Dior (elegant, feminine, classy... and a little bit aloof)
    USA: E. Arden Red Door
Italy: Lancaster Aquazur (Rimini), Terre d'Hermes (Pompei ), Blv Notte (Rome)
Japan: Anaïs Anaïs (partly stern, gray and cool, partly achingly beautiful and full of life)
Greece: Euphoria (I don't see just the Mediterranean and sun, but more something matching the shape of the bottle, the deep purple color and powerful juice)
    Russia: L'Heure Bleue, White Diamonds
Czech Republic: I'd say something with tones of nature like herbs, hay, woods, wheat and dust, and flowers and grandma's linen. Maybe White Linen or White Linen Breeze, Eau de Lalique, Ô de Lancôme, Vent Vert.
England: Yardley English Lavender or Rive Gauche

Ithink this particular perfume comes from a hotel in campania italy called Le Sirenuse and can also be bought from the German on line site Aus Liebe Zum Duft which does a sample for 3 euros.
