Thread: Do you keep the box?
When you buy a new fragrance, do you keep the box?
MikeD on Chaz by Revlon: "I knew a lady who took one sniff and said "bug spray." I never told the guy what she said, but the termites disappeared, oddly enough."
Yes. I even keep the bottle in the box.
For me the bottle is incomplete without the box. I prefer the retail box but if i buy a tester i ensure it comes with a box.
I don't even strip the entire cellophane off a new box, i just cut the top portion of the cellophane that covers the flap thats enough for me to take out the bottle and let the remaining cellophane sticking on the box. Wierd? But thats the way i like it. Keeps my perfume boxes looking like new.
Ofcourse i also keep all my bottles, boxed.
Bottle out of box and into a refrigerator @ 55F. Box ends opened and box flattened and stored in another, larger box.

Me, I always keep my fragrances in the boxes (no bath, no refrigerator, no light and heat). Just in my wardrobe. Or did you see a refrigerator in the Creed Store (Paris)? You keep your wine also in a cellar.
I fond that if I keep botle in the box, sometimes I don't want to bother to open the box and use the frag, so I keep bottles separately in a dark cool place. Just this month I decided that I had too many boxes in that same shelf, so I took them out and put in a bag. Now I can't decide where to put this bag.
Also, I can't decide what to do with empty bottles. I hate to throw them away, but I can't think of a place where to store them. I can imagine a nice glass table in the bathroom with few bottles n it, but I don't have space for that.
So many questions to thik about.
I keep my perfumes in a cabinet & the boxes are stored in a little closet.
I keep the box in the wardrobe and bottles in the drawers.

I used to throw them away, but now i keep the boxes.
No. Life is too short to obsess about the box. I flatten it down and then toss it into the recycle box!
I keep the box in case I decide later to sell the fragrance
I keep my fragrances on my dresser (the ones I am using), love to see the classy looking bottles...

I'm a colognosaurus. Rawr!
Before BN: throw useless boxes away pronto!
After BN: jealously guard, protect, and keep bottles in original boxes...
I never keep the box. Guess I"m in the minority, huh...
I have all the boxes and it's a bitch trying to find the right one if you store them with the bottoms only showing (I know... I just figured it out to} trying to match them up again to re-gift them.
I also saved every cigar band I ever smoked until there was Floyd! Hurricane Floyd!@!! 5 feet of water in my best room in NJ!@#@#@!

I keep a few boxed backups in my frag fridg along with my unboxed primary wardrobe.
I keep all the new boxes I get.
As always, disregard most of what I say. It's not worth your heart health to actually worry about what a 23 year old guy from Kansas thinks. Even if he is really ridiculously good looking.
Coincidence! I am moving so I threw out over 50 boxes this A.M.

Mostly - I store them in their boxes. I had to throw out the box for my Angel extrait, though, because it was enormous! It had a velveteen cylindrical box inside the cardboard packaging so I kept that part and recycled the rest.
I always keep the box as most of my blind buys end up on Ebay
I recycle my boxes. True, keeping the bottles in the boxes would make it easier for me to store the fragrances, but it's a lot easier to just grab and use. Plus, I kind of like the clinking of the bottles when I reach into the larger box where all my bottles are stored
Where once there was no scents to it all, now the world opens before me!
I ditch the box. My thoughts are that together the juice and the bottle are the particular art form that I am collecting. The box is superfluous marketing material, not a part of the art form itself. If the box were part of the work of art that a fragrance is, there would be more discussion here about its aesthetic quality, in addition to that of the beauty of the juice and bottle. (Of course, the box may be important for other purposes for some - e.g. resale or storage - but it has not been for me.)

I keep the bottle inside the box
I keep them in case I ever should want to sell. So I keep them stored away and I do not collapse them or anything. The bottles go in a thermoelectic wine cooler in the bedroom.
Throw them away
