Thread: Clive Christian X |
I have really been enamored by Clive Christian X. Does anyone here have any experience with it? How is the longevity? Is the perfume oil worth buying, or should I stick with the eau de parfume?
Any advice from those more experienced would be greatly appreciated.

I tried this yesterday.. once single small spray to my wrist at noon, and it was still going strong at 9pm. I like it much better than the 1872 (which is a more complex Royal Water to me). To me, it gets some dirty notes long into the drydown that I feel indifferent about, but the first few hours are great.

I like CCX very much. A complex, well-made and long-lasting fragrance. In fact, of all the world's ridiculously overpriced perfumes, this one is my favorite. But it's so ridiculously overpriced I'm pretty sure I'll never buy it.
Love this one, especially for cooler temps. Its long lasting on me and it evolves gracefully throughout the day. I bought it for less than $200 from a very reliable source.

I like it even though it is overpriced. On the the plus side its very high quality. It starts out with the most intense, natural cardamom i have ever smelled in a fragrance and then dries down to the smoothest cedar scent out there.
do the bottles still say "most expensive fragrance in the world" or whatever on them. that really made me not want to buy it when it came out....
The one that I saw didn't have that either. Are you mybe thinking of Amouage?

Um, is it just moi, or is Clive Christian X a dead ringer for Gucci Rush (Women's)?!
If my memory is right, X was the one that smelled highly of cardamom and cinnamon. In fact, it smelled precisely like Yogi (brand) Tea, Classic India Spice. If I had a grant, I would conduct a scientific experiment using an extract of the tea mixed with alcohol compared to the Clive Christian X. Wonder if folks could tell the difference.
X's longevity was poor on me and did not get any WOW's from women.
Like Creed's Windsor, I will give it more tries, but I predict it won't be purchased, even if it were $75.
Eau de Perfume is very strong as it is (20 hours +) no joking. The scent is lovely, very elegant, but I feel that it's not for me, way too classy.
Great works are performed, not by strength, but by perseverance.
Thanks Mr Reasonable - then my sample of the mens was mislabelled and I received the women's instead.![]()
me no likey.
The X Men is fantastic IMO.
It is a good $50 fragrance.

Very enjoyable, but to me its just a sweeter and maybe smoother version of Yang by Jacques Fath (minus the tea).
