    Default New Haarlem

    Guys,

Recently I've been really getting into a sample I received of this Bond. While not really a Bond fan, I think this could possibly be the fall/winter type of scent I was looking for. Do you think it suitable to wear to the office or is it really only for a night out? Thanks.

This is definitely suitable for office wear. Don't over apply and you'd be all set.

Thanks for the reply. I think I'm going to head ou ot Saks today and give it one more try. I need to see what's out there anyhow. I know that it is a gourmand, but would this also be considered somewhat oriental?

It's got a touch of spice in it.. it's very smooth to me. It's on my "to get" list. Also try DNA for men (new black/white bottle). It has a couple of the same notes, but less sweet and perhaps a bit more 'mainstream.'

There's a subtle (and sometimes not so subtle) bias against Bond No.9 perfumes here, but I love them! New Haarlem's great. You may also want to try some other spicy chocolate gourmands such as A*Men and Rochas Man. Remarkable cool weather frags all.

One of the only gourmands I like. Go for it, just don't use too much. I get a similar feeling from Dior Homme, with its powdery caramel note. You might try it too.

New Haarlem was created by the same perfumer who made Rochas Man, if my
information is correct. Smells pretty much identical to me, just a little stronger
    in the Bond formulation.

I'd say save some money and get Rochas Man.

I guess when I tested it, I must have overapplied. What it said to me was, "I have put on some lovely scent and now I have unfortunately spilled a cup of coffee all over myself."

Weird, I get a tiny bit of coffee, and only in the opening. Other than, it's pretty much pure edible sweets.

A pretty strong lavender note in there too, but it doesn't jive too well with the coffee,
    in my opinion.
