Default If you could go back to 1997?

If you could travel in a time machine ten years from now to 1997, and pick only one fragrance to buy, what would it be?

Perhaps a fragrance that the perfumers changed the formula on, and the 'new' version isn't as good as the one available back then? Perhaps a fragrance that is discontinued now, and would have been available back in '97?

Mine: Patou Pour Homme Prive by Jean Patou. This is so expensive and hard to find now ($$), but I have a feeling I could have easily acquired it back in '97.

    Your one fragrance?

Latrelle: "Isn't he only on the second floor?"
Peggy: "Yes, but he hit his head on a lawn gnome."

I'd grab Guerlain's Djedi - reissued in limited edition in 1996. Now EXTREMELY rare and expensive on Ebay.

Can I double up on decades and go back to 1987?I would acquire as much Boss No 1 as I could(back then it was purely known as Boss).I wore a lot of this in the late eighties and really enjoyed it.Going back 3 or 4 years,I decided to "revisit my youth",only to find it had been bastardised into the Patchouli fragrance from Hell!If only to obtain some of the original sweet amber liquor...........................

I'd say it's time for Return of the Djedi.

Personally, I'd like to go back to 1804 and pick up a bottle of pre-reformulation Royal English Leather. And some Farina Gegenüber while I'm there.

Damn... I thought when I read the thread title that it was asking "What would you do if you could go back to 1997?" FULL STOP!
Should have known it would be scent related.
I wanted to say I'd buy stock in Rio Tinto & real estate on Perth's water front.
    Sigh!!!!
...because if I had, then I could buy everybody in the house a bottle of Djedi today!!!!
