Smile What are you still waiting for and...****REVISED****

Ok...for me this has been a year of many disappointments. (Light Blue for Men and others) Of course I am speaking along the lines of mainstream fragrances. I have not had the luxury of smelling all the 2007 niche releases as of yet.

The only smellie I am waiting for now is probably Art of Shaving Lavendar. I still have to check out Mr. Ford's Extreme version.

So tell me what are you still waiting for or on the lookout for and what is high on your wish list as we approach the holiday seasons?

To make this fun...to all of you that post a response, on November 1st, 2007 I will put all your names in a hat and randomly pick a name and the winner will receive a Fresh, New, spanking bottle of Narciso Rodriguez for him EDT/ 3.3oz.

    Fragrance On,

    Otto

I'm still waiting for a new smashing Chanel scent for men, the last good one was IMHO, Allure for men.
I'm also still waiting for a new Guerlain scent for men, L'Instant PH was good but nothing fantastic.

I'm not waiting for a new flanker though...we're getting lots of "Intense" or "extreme" scents this last Q.

If it's a disaster then I'll just stop breathing altogether!

Though my 2007-hunger for Guerlain-nouveautés has been fairly well met by Chamade pour Homme reissue and Spiritueuse Double Vanille, I wish that the rumour about a new Jean Paul Guerlain for men would become a reality before X-mas.

I have been wondering when art of shaving was going to come out with lavender...i owned the sandalwood and it was a bit to piney...the lemon is not to bad though it smells a little like pledge(strangely that reminds me of childhood because my mom used it to clean all the wood in the house)...didnt know they were doing the lavender....hmmmm

I'm with graffham, new Dior Homme Intense! I've always liked vanilla, but I'm slightly dreading an iris and vanilla mix. At least the iris that was in Dior Homme. More leather would be awesome though! Either way, a highly anticipated sniff.

I am with those whom have said Art of Shaving Lavender. I love the shaving soap, and Lavender is one of my favorite notes.

Without a doubt, Narciso Rodriguez for men. The Andy Warhol inspired scent sounds interesting, even though it's from Bond...

I want to at least TRY Narciso Rodriguez for men, and can't wait for Chamade pour Homme to at least make its way across the Atlantic.

I am waiting for new Comme des Garcons, Guerlain, Apparition Intense and Tom Ford Intense.
Also, I would love to see something new from Issey Miyake, Rochas and a number of other houses, though did not hear anything about their upcoming scents.

well, I'm looking forward to trying the Tom Ford collection at his store. The leather scent has me rather curious.
I wouldn't mind a GOOD new Chanel to come out, either, but I realize I've wandered into fantasy land. A scent perhaps that Karl Lagerfeld whips up to define his years at the house. In my opinion they are overdue for a good new men's cologne!

I'm continuing my endless wait for a new Lorenzo Villoresi fragrance for men. He hasn't had a new one out since the oddly terrrific Yerbamate in 2001. What's up with that?

What I am waiting for that is on the market, but I have not sniffed:
-Tom Ford for Men (currently exclusive to Saks)
-Dsquared He Wood (it's out in Europe and Canada, but not available in the US until early 2008)

What I want to sniff that's not out yet:
-Thierry Mugler's next men's fragrance (supposed to be out sometime in 2008)
-A new Chanel men's scent that's not an Allure Homme spinoff (maybe this will happen now that Chris Sheldrake is at Chanel)
-D&G The One Pour Homme (P&G Prestige & Commercial has confirmed that this is in the works)
-The Porsche Design men's fragrance (coming in 2008/09 from Clarins Fragrance Group)
-David Yurman's first men's fragrance (should be coming after his women's scent is launched in early 2008; also a Clarins Fragrance Group project)

(sorry, I realized I made a double post due to a web browser problem)

I have relatively high hopes for Eau d'Italie's new fragrance and The Art of Shaving Lavender. I'm hoping Calvin Klein Man will be another fine signature scent for a designer company. I'm astonished that Malle made an exclusive deal with Barney's for their new fragrance Outrageous; horrible name, horrible bottle and the fragrance sounds like something for younger audience. So I'm not very excited about that fragrance - or this course Malle is seemingly taking.
