Default Want to Try a Samba Frag -- Recommendations?

We (my other half and I) used to wear Samba Nova from time to time, and we really liked it. It's been years since we owned a Perfumer's Workshop frag. So, here's the question: which one to buy now? The prices on all their frags sure seem right!

We both like Seventies and Eighties powerhouses -- ya know, cinnamon, patchouli, ambergris, vanilla, sandalwood, strong lavender etc. Something masculine and sexy and a little dated works for both of us. We both prefer strong sillage and longevity, and something with complexity in the drydown.

Ideas for Perfumer's Workshop/Samba frags along these lines?

Latrelle: "Isn't he only on the second floor?"
Peggy: "Yes, but he hit his head on a lawn gnome."

The original Samba is quite a powerhouse, in a good way. Also, Samba Heat (lots of cinnamon), Samba Kiss (in the black bottle -- lots of chocolate), and Samba Kiss Me (in the blue bottle -- lots of lavender and vanilla).

I wish that the names and the bottles were a little less ridiculous, but that is a small trade-off when the price and the juice are so right.

I think you might like Samba Rock & Roll. It's warm, for autumn and winter use.

Sorry to hijack your thread a little tvlampboy....

What is the quality of their juices like?

I have the original, and though I wear it pretty infrequently, it's still not bad at all considering i got it for $4 at TJ Maxx (on clearance, plus I was an employee at the time so I got it on the 20% off employee weekends they have from time to time). At first application, it strongly reminds me of Juicy Fruit gum... in fact, one time somebody asked me for a stick because they thought I was chewing some!

    The longevity's pretty decent, too.

Yeah, I've only tried two of their frags (original and Nova), but found in both cases that the scents were very good on sillage and longevity.

    Thanks.
And in terms of the quality of ingredients.
Does it turn into headache inducing nauseating mess as some cheaper colognes do?

Those two did not, no. Nova was especially nice, if odd.
