UPDATE: Go to Post #5 for my thoughts...
First off, in case we haven't been following the Carol's Daughter line, it's this fun line of body care, scents, and such created by Lisa Price in Brooklyn, New York. All their products were for women, though... until now.
They just launched their very first men's fragrance, named The Big Kahuna. The notes are spearmint, peppermint, Hawaiian white ginger (hence the name), lettuce(!), and musk. And it's pretty reasonably priced, at $25 for a 2 ounce eau de toilette. You can buy it now at macys.com and a tiny handful of Macy's stores, and it should be hitting Sephora soon, too.
Has anyone sniffed this? The lettuce note alone sounds interesting.

I have been following Carol's Daughter line for a while as well. I picked up the Big Kahuna a few weeks ago during my visit to the apple. I do believe that it has been out for a while now as I picked it up in the Flag ship store in Brooklyn in August. I am not fond of this scent at all. There is a note in there that I really do not like.
The other scents marketed for Men are:
Sandalwood and Vanilla EDT
Green Tea EDT
Groove EDT - This is actually marketed as a Unisex fragrance. Everytime I have worn Groove I get comments like "What are you wearing?"
Hey MFfan310 the Big Kahuna is yours if you want it...just PM me.

Why couldn't they have used more Hawaiian ingredients?
Well... I just got this in the mail today thanks to good ol' Otto. My thoughts? This smells EXACTLY like Paul Mitchell's Awaphui shampoo (which has a very prominent Hawaiian white ginger note)!
If anyone here has been looking for a EdT that smells like that famous salon shampoo, I think I found it.
Great shampoo, good scent as well. I use it as an all-over body wash.
I doubt my Macy's carries this...
Hats off to ya'! I searched the net for Maile essential oil and I remember this website that carried it at a reasonable price. Not sure what the concentration is, and I'm curious about the other oils they have available on the website. I'll probably mix my own concoction!
The oil is available here.
Cool site, thanks!
