    Montale Aoud Pur Oriental

Dry. Arid. Resinous. Balsamic. Medicinal. I can feel this to my core. Perhaps due to that my power animals are the serpent [healing and transformation] and Phoenix [rebirth.] Makes me feel as if I have awakened to new knowledge that I can use for transformation, regeneration, and self-healing.

Everyone smells so interesting today (and yesterday, too.)
Tigs is into the Mona di Orios, what a nice experience.
Sloan found an interesting Montale that I have not tried. Sakecat had on Attar yesterday, which is positively lovely.
Taolady's description of Fougere Bengale yesterday drove me CRAZY with lemming feelings.
Sorry about your camera Indiscreet. I hope you didn't incur much wrath.
My interview went well, thank you. The interviewer was warm and wonderful, and we ended up talking off-topic and having a fun visit.
I think I will get the job (teaching gifted students in the public schools.) Must wait another week to find out conclusively.
SOTD for me, Samsara. I want that rich jasmine.
Yesterday, Kumquat put Bois des Iles on me, and I feel in love. Gingerbread sandalwood like Bulgari Omnia, only without that harsh black pepper note.
And!!! She let me smell Czech and Speake 88. We were laughing and singing "When the mooooooon, is in it's seventh house, and Juuuuuupiter aligns with Maaaaarrrs." Just like walking into a head shop, it was. Glorious.

What subject? Writing? Can all you BNers imagine Purplebird7 giving a writing assignment to describe and fantasize about the nature of a perfume? Wish someone had given me homework like that way back when. Lucky students, but one downside: 'bird may have less time for us.

A couple of hours after writing my entry above, I got caught in a torrential downpour about a mile from my house while picking apples. (Thankfully I was wearing wellies.) The rest of me was not so well waterproofed, though, so I've had to change and shower. I'm now wearing Mahora, since my attempt to pretend it was spring is clearly not working.

Feeling a bit overwhelmed by choices today, but also want to save my AL sample collection for the AL week, so I rooted around my closet and came up with Misuki by Holzman and Stephanie. It is a beautiful oriental, like Shalimar in some ways but with the addition of peach and more floral less powdery.

I opted for Jicky today too! The sample I have says "parfum" but I find it to be a slightly thin liquid and it hasn't got great lasting time. Sillage is pretty good. I love the scent, but I think it might be EdP.
Tonight it'll probably be KM Loukhoum again.

    a few hours later
I remembered that I have a sample of Sweet Oriental Dream - Montale so that's my SotE. DH2B likes it.
