    Question ISO - Dior Fragrance

I have sent the BF on a mission to ask people what they are wearing if he finds a scent that he likes.

He finally found one. She said "Christian Dior" but didn't say which one.

    His description (verbatim):
this was flowery and girlish, light though, not overpowering

I already own Hypnotic Poison and Dior Addict.
I wouldn't describe either scent in those terms.

Anyone have a guess which fragrance he may be talking about?

    Thanks for your help.

Love the mental picture this conjures.

My guess is Miss Dior Cherie.

Sounds like J'Adore. Calice Becker (the nose behind Tommy Girl by Tommy Hilfiger - one of my favorites) did this. I remember it being floral and slightly fruity also.

yeah my initial reaction was miss dior cherie... j'adore also seems to fit but something makes me think its miss dior cherie

could also be addict 2.. i smelled it on a friend and asked her wat it was she told me it was dior addict which confused me - it seemed much more floral and sweet than the original addict

Maybe Pure Poison, but J'adore also fits that description, I think.

Could it be one of the classics? I find most of the Diors floral - I always think of lily of the valley/muget as being their signature note.

I think it could be Diorissimo. Love that one.

Sounds like Tendre Poison or Diorissimo.

I second that i was perhaps Miss Dior Cherie. The fact he stated flowery and girlish suggests this to me. Many of the other Diors (Addict, the Poisons, Dolce Vita) I would hardly call "light and girlish".

It could be Diorissimo, which I used to wear in my teens (and still like, though I don't have it any more) but I reckon he'd be more likely to come back with one of the newer Diors if the SA has been pushing them on him - Miss Dior Cherie makes sense.

I managed to get a sample of J'adore from the nice lady at Nordstroms. I wore it for the boyfriend that night. He liked it, but it wasn't the one.

I brought some plastic snack bags for my hunt. This way (I figured), I could gather scent blotters and bring them back to the boyfriend for his approval. At Nordstroms, I gathered a scent blotter of Miss Dior Cherie. I'm not a huge fan of fruity florals and this one really turned me off. If this is the scent, boyfriend is SOL.

I also wandered over to Sephora to find a couple of items. One thing I LOVE about shopping there, the SAs leave you alone unless you ask. They don't even look at you funny as you squat next to the atomizers spraying blotters, labeling them, and sticking them in little plastic baggies. Now that's service.

    Managed to gather the following:
    - Dior Addict 2 (Summer Peonies)
    - Pure Poison

Neither of these struck me as being particularly offensive - or particularly memorable.

Boyfriend sniffed the blotters I gathered last night. His impressions:
    - Miss Dior Cherie - He disliked this as much as I did. He found it "masculine"
    - Dior Addict 2 - Not much there.
    - Pure Poison - Not quite it, but he liked this one. I now need to hunt down a sample of this one.
