I found this off of Ebay last night and the package came today. After careful inspection (I compared the box to an authentic YSL box) this is legitamate. Due to the forest fire in California I can't really spray this but judging the smell of it coming from the box, I can say it is definently lighter.
What I found most striking about this is the bottle. In the picture it doesn't look like anything fancy, but I have never seen such a breathaking pattern. Imagine taking the 3.4 oz size, strip away the front color including the cap so that there is brown amber trim along the sides. The same amber brown trim around the vat holding the juice creates a striking pattern.
I am extremly satisified with this product; next paycheck I am getting the full size of the original M7 since the small size that I have is running out. Plus imagine the 3.4oz original M7 next to the M7 Fresh.
What can't they make bottles like this anymore!

...not even mace?
Eh...can't spray anything?...haven't heard that here.

I love M7.
About a year ago IPFTN (for you old timers) visited me in Seattle and we visited the only niche store in town. He spotted a bottle M7 Fresh which I handn't give a whole lot of thought about, but when he told me it was extremely hard to find and they were selling a new 3.4 oz bottle for fifty bucks, I jumped on it.
This is not simply a "diluted" copy of the original, but something wonderful in itself. I'm so glad I bought it. It always smells "right" for any weather or occasion.
And agreed; it has one of the classiest bottles in the business.
Maybe because you can't smell it over the smoke? Everyone there smells like a very fine incense fragrance. Hey, see the lighter side of life, right?
Seriously, fires destroying stuff sucks.

I can spray cologne, but it really depends on whether or not you can literally smell the smoke or see ash falling from the sky. Today the sky was clear so I could spray something.
Also, I never knew M7 uses an incense note.

Last night the weather here was pretty cold and the weather was clear enough for me to spray M7 Fresh. This scent smells nothing like the original. I love this scent and I want to get another bottle now.
Today the weather is clear and there is a bit of a chill in the air so I sprayed the original M7 to compare. There is a definite oud, incense note that mixes perfectly with the chill air; although this one is definently not for the summer.
Actually I probably would wear both of these more in the winter than summer.
I can smell my cologne here in San Diego. The fires were less than 1/4 of a mile from me. It does reek of smoke here, but I can still smell my smellies :-)

The weather has officially cleared up here in Laguna Nigel so I can break out the GPH original as well as other scents that are smoky without contributing to the forest fire smell.
To those of you looking for M7 Fresh, there are 5 items right now (from one seller) on eBay.
