Question Summer fragrance - I know it's fall, but...

I'm looking for a great fragrance, citrus or not, that is appropriate to wear in the summer. And, that has a decent longevity. I find most summer/citrus frags tend to loose their scent too quickly after sprayed. Any recommendations? EDT or EDP doesn't matter. High end or widely distributed doesn't matter either. Thanks!

Hi,Jeffrey.I am looking for a summer fragrance too.So I looked at some reviews/searched in the forum and I could say I have 2 winners.Lancome Miracle Aquatonic and Dali's Laguna.Read the reviews(here on BN) on your own and tell what do you think.

Despite being a great fragrance I will never wear Aqua de Bulagari cause everyone uses this here in Bulgaria(I dont know why- I think thery are fond of Bulgari cause of the name or something ).Its just amazing.Literally every second guy on the streets smells like this. Its the number one seller on all Bulgaria fragrance sites.Pretty annoying.Anyways another very good summer scent is Versace eau Fraiche.I find it highly addictive. You should try it for sure.

Both really great citrus scents, but not easy to find.

Here's my all-time fav. I can't resists recommending it even though it's short lived on my skin. It is one-of-a kind however. It is Halston 1-12. Yes, yes, I'm still raving about it and probably always will.

    Second Balle e Match
Adolfo Dominguez Vetiver Hombre - perfect summer vetiver, fresh-barbershoppy, a personal all-time favorite
Nina Ricci Signoricci - smooth elegant longlasting citrus
Acqua di Parma Colonia (works in fall and spring as well) - lemon, rose, ylang, perfect
Monsieur Balmain - fresh yet well-lasting lemon and florals
Acqua di Portofino - neroli and green, easy to wear
Brooksfield Men - sporty, low key, nice refreshingly unplasticky smelling apple and cardamom notes
Goutal - Eau du Sud, Eau de Hadrien - classic herbal citrus the one, Hadrien is quite sharp and a bit "lemon-pledgy"
Detaille - Aeroplane - classic, old fashioned, very well made citrus-herbal scent. There's one to be had in the marketplace at a good price.
Laura Tonnato - Albi - hard to find, but really worth it. light, sweet-citrus, spicy, mossy, very unique and incredibly good.
Crown Spiced Limes - for something more conservative-gentlemanly in summer.

These do not last too long on me, but are worth a try nonetheless:
    Villoresi Colonia
    Creed Neroli Sauvage
    d'Orsay Etiquette Bleue
    all the Eaux de Guerlain
    R&G Jean Marie Farina
    Asprey Purple Water
    Acqua di Genova
    My Wardrobe
II est de forts parfums pour qui toute matière/Est poreuse. On dirait qu'ils pénètrent le verre.

I'll second Signoricci and also throw Fahrenheit Summer into the mix.

Summer, citrus and high end, you say?

    Acqua Viva by Profumum

Lemon rind nirvana, in a bottle.

A little ahead of ourselves, are we?

    Consider the following:

    Diptyque's Virgilio and Philosykos
    Lorenzo Villoresi's Yerbamate
Dawn Spencer Hurwitz's Padme Lotus and Celadon
Maitre Parfumeur et Gantier's Iris Bleu Gris, Fraicheur Muskissime, and Bahiana
    Ungaro II
    Aramis Devin
    Amouage Ciel
    Annick Goutal Eau du Sud
    Divine L'Homme de Coeur
    Parfum d'Empire Iskander
    Frederic Malle En Passant

Some others that are good, but don't last so well:

Comme des Garcons Lily and Calamus
    L'Artisan Parfumeur Mure et Musc
Creed Erolfa, Silver Mountain Water, Millesime Imperial, and Selection Verte
    Beth Terry's Mare
    Frederic Malle Cologne Bigarade

Hermes - Un Jarden sur le Nil: Summer's nectar in a bottle. PERIOD! A Jean Claude-Ellena masterpiece.

Profumum - Acqua di Sale: Beachy/oceanic.."salty"..the most realistic and best "aquatic" I've ever smelled. Very unique.

Sisely - Eau de Campagne: Best grassy scent EVER!!! (IMHO of course) Pure wet grass and tomato leaves..crushed. Very energetic and mood lifting. Fresh and GREEN. Your summer would not be complete without it.
