Default Today I bought ... (for November 2007)

Keeping with tradition, it's my pleasure to launch another month of "I've spent my money on ..." posts. Since I'll be out of touch for most of this week, I'm kicking this off a little early. Happy shopping!

I shall include today and the weekend! On Saturday I made a trip up to London and bought myself a bottle of Millisime Imperial, such an amazing scent.

Today I restocked myself with a bottle of Angel, I ran out months ago and haven't felt like buying more. So glad I did, feels like I've reunited with an old friend!

Just bought Narciso Rodgriguez' "For Her Musc Oil". Man-Oh-Man, do I love this Fruity Musc! Earthy, yet a touch of sweet fruit, honey, and musc. It just doesn't get much better for this child of the 70's. I've since ordered the large Musc sampler from ThePerfumedCourt.com. Can't wait to revisit the muscs...this time with more sophistication than in those head-shop days. "For Her" set me back $150...I think I've lost my mind...

Notes:Honey Flower, Solar Musk, Orange Blossom, Osmanthus, Amberlyn, Vanilla, Tactile Musk, Tactile Woods, Vetiver.

Using the 25% off any purchase code DCHABIT, I bought a 100ml Parfum d'Empire Fougere Bengale bottle from http://www.beautyhabit.com/. Free shipping and no sales tax also (sorry Californians--you pay sales tax).

Dangerous things, these large discount codes...I may have to revisit and check out the Serge Lutens selection.

A pure trash and bad taste day for me today. I bought :

Britney Spears Midnight Fantasy 30ml EdP
    Aquolina Pink Sugar 100ml EdP

The Midnight Fantasy was bought to match my 30ml bottle for Fantasy as I LOVE the tacky but cute bottle designs. I don't mind the juices either for certain "sillly" days. The Pink Sugar was exciting because it's not readily available in the UK and I found it for a great price. Having bought Serge Lutens, Frederic Malles, Annick Goutal and Tom Ford in October I feel justified on buying trashy perfume in November!

Got bored hunting for rugs so I went to Marshall's and bought Bobbi Brown Baby for 5.00.
It's not the best fruity floral in the world but I like the pineapple note and it has a pleasant soapy feel that would be ok at work.

Still don't know what to put on my floors. And I have to decide very soon, Boo! This is a decision I will have to live with for years, so I'd rather not foul it up.

Toying with a Bourbon French purchase or two. I like the idea of a floral-white tea scent and also would like to try a couple of others. I've been pleased with my other BF scents.
Also, am thinking that Spanish Moss from Hove sounds like someting I'd like!

Received my LTBL infusion from Serena, so I will not have to go without my comfort scent, and my younger daughter says people follow her around just to get a whiff of it! (She is pleased).

I'm shopping for flooring and have to decide soon, too. It's tough because I know once I do, I can't change it and we have pets. Also need a new bed, another big purchase we'll have to live with, and we don't have very many stores around here to try things out.

I have been having fun choosing some minis, hand creams and small sizes of frags, have a few on the way, along with two samples from Luckyscent - Renee Mediterranean Lily and Montale Velvet Flowers.

Well done Taolady, I'm loving the Pink sugar, and as an EdT it's very wearable during the day without offending sensitive noses. I've also now ordered Blue Sugar and Choco Lovers from Aquolina as well. Very niche or complete mass market, I seem to swing in complete extremes - I love Hilary Duff's "With Love" as well! My bank balance enjoys the mass market scents too. (£20 for a 100ml of EdP as opposed to £50 for a dribble of a Caron parfum!)

I love this scent. It is very deep and exotic, but also very wearable and familiar. A sensual and comforting scent.

Since I spent the entire summer renovating an old house for sale - and in this terrible market actually sold it 2 weeks ago - before I spend all my ill gotten gains on renovations for the house we live in now (125 years old) I decided I would treat myself as my own realtor's/contractor's fee to all the perfumes I've ever wanted - since hubby buys new drums at the drop of a hat - I will now splurge on whatever tickles my nose.

So today I bought Caron's: Aimez Moi , Bellodgia, Parfum Sacre, Narcisse Noir, & Nuit de Noel

Have some decants arriving of Serge Luten's in tomorrow's post (Datura Noir, Sa Majeste La Rose, Fleurs d'Oranger, A La Nuit, Ambre Sultan, Douce Amere, Santal Blanc & Arabie) - and will decide after sampling them what I want from that house.

My next project will be tearing myself out of my fixed older-lady notions of perfumes - and perhaps sampling some of the interesting new scents from places and houses mentioned on these boards by you young folks. Never too old to try something new - and I'm sure I'll get plenty of guidance here

I went to the Fragrance Festival at Nordstrom last night. There weren't really any new frags there. There was a lot to sample though. I was a little upset that the vendors were spraying cards instead of passing out sample vials. It was so crazy there when they first opened up. It was a meat market. You were run down by the vendor wanting you to smell the newest this and the best that.

I met MHarvey out there. It was so funny because I never saw here before. We just talked on the phone. When I got there I called her, but no answer. I was walking around and I heard someone talking. I was like I know that voice. I stood there and looked for a minute. Finally, I got up enough nerve to ask the lady if she was MHarvey. I was right!! It was her. We walked around and talked about perfume.

Well I got the Flowerbomb set that came with a big 10oz bottle of perfumed body oil. I love it. I couldn't wait to get it on today. One of the girls that work with me doesn't like perfume. She always says I give her a headache, but she said that I smelled good today LOL! So, I know I was smelling good today LOL!!

I kept messing with my S/O today. I kept calling his name and saying guess what. He kept falling for it everytime too LOL! I said.......Guess what? Him...what? Me.....I SMELL GOOD!!!! ROFL! He said I must of drunk the oil instead of putting it on. I did that to him all night tonight.
Diva is fartin in your perfume mist before you walk through it!! Walk slow and let it marinate......

Ava-Luxe Rasa, I could not stand being without it. I've been contemplating a new rose scent for a while now and there it was. I could no longer resist the musk and roses combination.

I bit the bullet after months of desire and self control-- when I ordered my refill of Jalaine's Patchouli (a no brainer, must have to live) I caved and got 10ml of Bruno Acampora Jasmin. I'm sooooo not sorry. This self control stuff just doesn't work for me. Once I sniffed it, I wanted it, and the desire didn't fade. It intensified until I felt like a martyr, clutching my sample vial and sniffing the empty abyss, with my puny 100+ bottles laughing at me. I'm a fragrance addict, I'm insane, I'm....dying to test Sarassins! AAARRRRRGGGHH!
    Please, spritz responsibly.
