Smile Damn that smell;s good !!!

Name a fragrance, that you have worn for year's, and still every time you spray makes you say damn that smell's good. This morning, I was spraying Havana on my self, and once again I said damn, that smell's good. Year in and year out a winner.

Although it has not been around for many years, I have a similar reaction to Terre d'Hermes.

    Aramis 900.

I bought my first bottle of this in high school, that was almost 20 yrs ago, and every single time I use it, it's just impressive. Using something for that long makes it laden with all kinds of subconscious, olafactory memories, so it becomes even more intriguing as time goes on.

And given the very reasonable $40 price tag, it's pretty amazing stuff.

It will have to be Cool Water and Fahrenheit. These two were introduced to be 10 years ago, and I can smell them once in a while from others, and I like them on me too.

For some reason out of all of the scents I have and wear the scent that does that the most to me is Armani Black Code. I feel "wowed" by it everytime I put it on. Strange that it is not even that highly ranked among my collection.

Armani Code is probably the best Armani fragrance (not counting the Prive line).

I TOTALLY second Armani Code and will add Bulgari Aqua. It's just too much salt water goodness for one to stand!!!!!! What the hell I'll add Versace Dreamer, too! Those tend to get left behind but always get me going when I come back to them... But technically this phenomenon occurs every time I leave something behind even for a few days and come back to it.

    POLO SPORT

The ONLY cologne that seems perfect every single time I smell it.

    Hopefully, that changes soon.
It's really dissapointing that no other GR cologne since the mid-90's can top Polo Sport for me. I've smelled nearly every single cologne that costs less than $100american/bottle, and still Polo Sport is the only one I find close to perfection? WTF ? Can't be........
Thanks to Basenotes, I got plans to hit up every high end shop that hawks the stuff I never heard of before I found this forum. I'm expecting Creed & L'Artisan have 1 or 2 that will grab me.

    Calyx by Prescriptives

Every single time I pass thru the cosmetics section of a dept. store and there's a Prescriptives counter, I just have to smell Calyx. I think it smells wonderful. Strangely enough I don't own a bottle...

That's funny. When that stuff came out, I didn't know it was for women-- I had glossed over the sample insert that was in a catalogue and had thought it was marketed to men. I liked it and when my girlfriend at the time asked me what I wanted for Christmas, I said Calyx.

Then, I told her to scratch that.

"Like a lobster with a pearl in its claw, the beet held the jasmine firmly without crushing or obscuring it. Beet lifted jasmine, the way a bullnecked partner lifts a ballerina, and the pair came on stage on citron's fluty cue. As if jasmine were a collection of beautiful paintings, beet hung it in the galleries of the nose, insured it against fire or theft, threw a party to celebrate it. Citron mailed the invitations." Yatagan is the one for me. Everytime I spray it I'm amazed how this frag of 31 years still trounces 99% of the stuff that has been made since 1976.

As always, disregard most of what I say. It's not worth your heart health to actually worry about what a 23 year old guy from Kansas thinks. Even if he is really ridiculously good looking.
