Default F by Ferragamo Pour Homme now at Lord & Taylor

I am really interested in this one since I did love the original:

Today I tried it, and now I have it on my hand. The nicest surprise for a long time. The beginning is sparkling, the very first minute I knew that I had found something interesting. I would say shortly that it is Terre d'Hermes with fresh spice and barbershop feeling. Terre is not my favourite, perhaps of that earthy note in the drydown. Interestingly, F is most reminiscent of Terre, yet without of that earthy base -or not so prominent- and with some elegantly added fresh spices. The barbershop is not that of say Prada, which is kind of sweet, but also fresh, very manly.
Worth to give it a serious try!

Well said Sandy, you make me so eager to try it. I like frags from this house.

I tried it a month or two ago. The original was a powerhouse. F is okay, but fairly tame compared to the original.

You may find it on this page. Interesting to see the notes. Only labdanum is mentoned in the base. Hm, I'll check again my paperstrip, longevity seems to be fair.

Now the first review has popped up. And it says mainly what I did about the comparison with Terre.
