Overrated: Almost every house since 1995, except Histoires des Parfums and MPG. Most of the half-baked Bonds and half of the repetitive Lutens and Fords could disappear and we wouldn't be much poorer. Chanel's exclusive fumes are well-conceived but have terrible lasting power. Guerlains are harsh and ornery except for the parfums. EL still purveys quality in its backlist but the recent offerings have been either uninspired (Sensuous) or undermarketed (the private collection fragrances). Killians are waaay overpriced; half miss the mark. ELDO is creative but wildly uneven. Have no use for Goutals, Artisan or the pretentious Le Labo. Givenchy has suffered a lobotomy. This is not to say that each doesn't have some nice offerings; they all do. They just need to edit the lines and deliver some real value for the inflated price tags.

Underrated: The now discontinued Rochas line and the older, discontinued Fendis.

CARTIER. Probably under-the-radar more than underrated imo.

Overrated: Byredo (I'm not a hater; I just don't get the hype)
Underrated: Cartier, Van Cleef & Arpels, Rochas, Patou, L'Artisan (at least these days)
I'm looking for some TF Black Orchid EdP. I love partial bottles. Please PM me if you have one you don't want/love/need.

Underated- Gres. I love Cabaret, Lumiere Noire and Cabochard. Balmain also as I love the new Ivoire (in its price range-hard to beat) Hermes is a bit over, not worth the price tags really but Eau des Merveilles was a masterpiece. I love Kelly Caleche by JCE but it was based on 'In love Again' if you ask me

Really? How do you think new Ivoire compares to old Ivoire?

New Ivoire contains a watermark of the old Ivoire but I wasn't particularly a fan of it, that toilet block smell, dare I say? The new Ivoire has a stunning bottle, a nice iris treatment, florist shop greenery and a lux soap to it. It fits into the fragrances that I can wear early in the day without, say, fighting off the indian patchouli or James and and the giant peach. QUOTE=thediamondsea;4048627]Really?
