Default Interesting Wall St. Journal article from yesterday!

The link below will take you to an article from yesterday that appeared in the Wall St. Journal. I found the article very insightful, as it provided a very nice peek behind the scenes into the fragrance industry.

Has anyone tried any of these recent Valentino/P&G scents?

The on-line subscription to the WSJ is free; at least it has been for me.

Would somebody just copy and paste it?

As always, disregard most of what I say. It's not worth your heart health to actually worry about what a 23 year old guy from Kansas thinks. Even if he is really ridiculously good looking.

Shoot! I guess the article was time-sensitive; available in-full only within 24-hours of its publication. Now I cannot even view the full article.

The article began on the 1st page of the 11/12/07 print edition of the WSJ.

Valentino has never had a commercial hit with any of its fragrances. Good luck with Rock 'n Rose.

"In contrast to launches for household products, which call for quickly flooding thousands of stores with a new item, fine fragrances typically debut at one or two tony department stores. The point is to suggest exclusivity by getting valuable, early-adopter buzz."

    Early adopter buzz.
That's us that is. At least partially. Not sure how I feel about being a marketing pawn?

All Patou pour homme needs is a calone-based aquatic note and it will be at the top of list of priorities at P&G..
