But if I had to start naming ingredients, it's rather bright but starts with a rather synthetic floral - freesia if I had to guess - that dries down to a bit of a polyester accord. This is about as CDG Synthetic as you can get outside of that line. In fact... really reminds me of Dry Clean. A lot.

The drydown is where it just goes weird. There's the aforementioned polyester accord, as in polyester wire wrap - I'm a geek, so sadly I can accurately identify this one - smell that comes straight through. If you don't know what I'm talking about, get real close to some of the insulated wires inside of your computer, once it's been on and that's the drydown.

I've probably made this sound as unappealing as possible; but if you're a CDG Synthetic fan, this is right up your alley. For me, it's only a scent I've worn like 3 times while relaxing at home. Due to my weird body chemistry (I can amplify a lot of scents, thus my love for subtle scents), it stays way too bright for me to wear.
Gerbick, that was a very unique review! Thanks for sharing, I'd want to give it a sniff at some point.

How many have the hairy tabacco scent of Monotheme's Tabaco Latino?

Secret of the Desert- a lover brought me a bottle of this oil in Cairo from some little out of the way shop he found over the summer. It's sultry and spicy with an unexpected dash of lime. As far as I can tell, it's only sold in that little shop!

Si Jolie by Fragonard. I bought this at the factory gift shop on a spring break trip to Paris in high school (1978) and it is discontinued. It's a lovely rose scent, very similar to Joy and completely impossible to find. It isn't even listed here.

I also have quite a number of Bpal bottles- some of which I expect noone else here has although I know people who do.

On a related note, is it posible to add a fragrance to the database or not?

I've got a few BPAL bottles myself, I have a feeling people have them but don't care enough to try to get them added to the DB.

I will describe it the best I can

to my nose it does not come off synthetic at all and does not smell cheap IMO
I sort of get a wet woodsy smell with a light citrus note
the citrus last maybe 10 mins on my skin
it's not sweet, and starts off fresh
it's not a bad scent for the money

I did some deep sniffing with this cologne and it smells like rochas lui light, if there was ever one

I received a sample a few days ago and I must say it is a very nice fragrance, possibly one for my hit list later on in the year, if I can find someone who sells it in the UK, or would ship over here.

I'm also about to buy some Marco Da Venezia perfumes for myself and partner. I'm not sure if anyone else has any of these on here?

I don't think that anybody has this.

    Eau D'Ernest:

Designed by Bulgarian artist Daniel Bozhkov for the 9th International Istanbul Biennial.

Bozhkov has created Eau d'Ernest, a perfume that evokes the spirit of American writer Ernest Hemingway. Through his books and public persona, Hemingway came to embody the myth of American individuality and virile courage. As Bozhkov writes, Hemingway is an emblematic person from a time when America smelled good. In 2003 Bozhkov stayed in the old Büyük Londra Oteli in Beyoğlu, where Hemingway stayed in 1922 while covering the Greco-Turkish War for the Toronto Daily Star. Eau d'Ernest is a contemporary scent for men inspired by Hemingway's idea of courage as grace under pressure. It captures the senses with the powerful mystique of safari and the exhilaration of the bullfight. Eau d'Ernest is an exuberant combination of sophistication and audacity with some vulnerable and tragic notes.
Bozhkov developed Eau d'Ernest with Ulrich Lang Fragrances, New York and the perfumer Virginia Bonofiglio. Dark, brooding notes of burnt woods and sensual musks evoke bold masculinity while top notes of anis and basil, highlighted with Italian bergamot, add freshness and youthful athleticism.
