I am almost 100 percent sure that no one on this board has a bottle of i Profumo di Firenze's Muschio Nero.

I'm about 90 percent sure no one in this country has a bottle either lol

As far as I know, no one else has Ted Lapidus' Envol, and I do! Lots!* (Nah-nah nah-nah-nah)

I have been looking for its notes forever - never found anything; I'd love to find out, though, as it would make my search for a modern-day alternative much easier. Myself - not sophisticated enough to figure it out on my own.

Not so sure about whether anyone has his "Vu", but am guessing few - if any - have that, either. I do - but not much of it, though - just a pure parfum 1/4 oz and a pure parfum miniature. There's literally one seller on e-bay who has it and, quite frankly, it's way overpriced with buy-me-now, and when it goes into bidding and usually ends up at a price I would be willing to pay, the quoted delivery price puts it way overboard for me (it's a German seller).

All I have been able to find are these references in perfumeintelligence.co.uk:

    1. Envol Parfums Ted Lapidus 1980 A floral-fruity and woody edt created by Roger Pellégrino, classified B7f. Discontinued (date unknown) [B7 = family class below, f = female]

    2. The Floral Family B Is the largest of the groupings and often is based on a single flower for its classification; includes not only single floral notes but floral bouquets;like rose and jasmine; classified ‘B’
B1 Is soliflore, fresh florals, not too sweet
    B2 Is lavender-soliflore
B3 Is floral-bouquet ,light florals with a distinctive fresh fruity notes
B4 Is floral-green, flower-based scents with a sap or grassy note
B5 Is floral-aldehyde,with the dryness of powder
    B6 Is sometimes sub-divided into
Pure Florals: Single flower notes, sometime bouquets; other ingredients faint
Rich Florals: Deeper than sweet florals, have a high proportion of base notes; vanilla or musk
Sweet Florals: Notable for sweetness and creaminess
B7 Is floral-fruity-woody; with distinctive woodiness cum spiciness, in the base notes.
B8 In 1998 a new sub-section was introduced, sensual florals
B9 In 2002 a new group with an emollient, ‘watery’ note was introduced; aqueous florals
    Floramber was introduced in 1993

I hope this provides a little bit of new information for you.

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, and sorry I could not travel both and be one traveler, long I stood and looked down one as far as I could to where it bent in the undergrowth; Then took the other, as just as fair, ...... I shall be telling this with a sigh somewhere ages and ages hence: Two roads diverged in a wood, and I -- I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference. - Robert Frost

Hm. Very strange. SO unfloral, really. The exact opposite. Neither is it fruity. At all. Zero fruit, really (aside from bergamot, which is more or less a staple in all scents that I like). Not vanilla. Musk - lightly. Woodiness - definitely. Not watery. Lavender - hardly. Aldehyde - of all the mentioned, the closest. Green, too. But a very understated green.

Who else owns Giorgio Armani's first feminine perfume 'Armani ' (1982) ?
I see that no review has been written for this wonderful perfume. It contains all the essentials an elegant lady may want to smell of !

By the way, what is the easiest way to find out if you're the only owner of certain perfumes on BN, or one of a few ?
There were summary statistics on ownership before major changes were introduced.

Maybe they are gone, or some of us just cannot find them any more.

    Hmmm.....

Piece of cake on naming one: Jean Louis Gady "Musk Oil" EDT. No one has even heard of it, but it's very good.

Then again I have some true rarities like:

    Nombre Noir
    Dior Dior
    Cocktail (Patou)
    Colony (Patou)
    Que sais je (Patou)

Not sure if no one has them though.

    Hi Narcus.

Yes, the very Herzog & de Meuron. It was part of their exhibition No. 250. Beauty and Waste in the Architecture of Herzog & de Meuron at the Netherlands Architecture Institute in Rotterdam in 2005. You can see the botttle in its box at this site. Look for the tiny plasctic bottle to the left of what looks like a bottle of wine in the middle of the picture. It seems to have been a limited edition of a 1000 bottles.

    PM sent.

D'OH!! Well, I stand corrected, but will add that I have a large Diorling decant.

I only have one other suggestion, which is my 70s vintage Rochas Moustache in Eau de Cologne concentration. I also have a vintage and modern Moustache apres rasage lotion. These vintage bottles were my grandfather's and passed down to me. Today's Moustache is either EdT or EdT concentree, and the apres rasage is very hard to come by in the US.

That is so cool to come across this site. We're just about ready to re-launch the Zaharoff Pour Homme, which is one of my favourite fragrances.

We're going to launch a limited edition bottle for Winter 2008 on www.zaharoff.com and then slowly open distribution in 2009 under limited distribution.

Best wishes to everyone on Basenotes!

Tactics by Shiseido....still gotta little left. Kind of a "time capsule" scent in a way.

I recently got a half-full bottle of Kiton Napoli.Probably Renato has a bottle too,I realised that by reading some older reviews.
I cannot really clasify this one.But I am sure that the original Kiton exudes much more class and quality...

I have the Heno too! Among splash colognes it's the manliest I know of and quite refreshing!
I picked mine up from the bottom shelf in one of those supermarkets in Andalucia. They all have it, and maybe it's considered as 'too cheap' for the ordinary perfume lover.
