    Default Casual Friday by Escada.

Every now and then a question pops about gourmand scents. And then no one makes a suggestion concerning Casual Friday...
Discontinued and hard to find (at least reasonably priced examples).
Let's talk about my BEST blind buy (ok,along with Cacharel's Nemo).

    I swapped mine away.

The coffee + sugar + cream note is REALLY strong on me, so that was a deal breaker for me. I axed Rochas Man for the same reason. It dries down nicely, leaving woody notes behind... I think it was cedar if I remember correctly; lasting into the next day.

In the end I'd wear Body Kouros.

I never encountered it anywhere. Heard raving reviews about it while it was in production.
Interesting how some scents are easy to find years after they were discontinued, and some others disappear from earth.

The anise was the deal-breaker for me. I don't mind a little star anise (as in Rive Gauche); however, the overpowering anises you encounter in Lolita Lempicka and Casual Friday are just too much for this boy.

Peggy: "Right now, we have to get to the mental institution. Something terrible has happened."
    Latrelle: "What?"
Peggy: "Brother Boy has tried to kill himself. He jumped out of his bedroom window."
Latrelle: "Isn't he only on the second floor?"
Peggy: "Yes, but he hit his head on a lawn gnome."

Casual Friday is one of my all time favorites...in my top 5 for sure. I am going to grieve when I run out. I bought my last bottle from Strawberry.net and the bottle was shipped from Hong Kong!

I enjoy Casual Friday and I wish it was still readily available. On my skin it really isn't much of a gourmand. There's a little sweet gourmand in the background but it is primarily cedar scent for me. Great sillage, great longevity. Super nice cedar, moss, smoke, tonka drydown.

Thumbs up Re: Casual Friday by Escada.

Casual Friday is a great gourmand and also one of my favourite scents. It is a pitty is has been discontinued!

I think it smells like a cappucino and although it is a sweet scent, it is never sickening. Also, I think it has a fresh note and it is nice to wear it during the hotter days, while other gourmands usually become terrible under extremely hot weather. It is not overpowering like Amen. It is like the coffee thing is gently softened in Casual Friday.

For the hardcore fans of Casual Friday I would like to suggest another awesome gourmand scent: Etra by Etro. I think it is one of the classiest gourmands ever and also extremely nice to wear. It is light, fresh and has a delicious aroma that never becomes too much. It is such a good taste scent that I had to buy a bottle of it! :-)
