Montale Jasmine Full. It's a terribly bright sunny day here...
Being verrrrrrrrrrry lazy today laying in bed watching movies with daughter No.2. I'm joining tang today and wearing the yummmy Ambre Narguile. Happy New Year to all of you fabulously smelling people!
I'm gonna wear Black Aoud after a looong shower!
"Wait...is David Bowie really God?" - Penelope Garcia
A Happy New Year to all of you!!!
I apologize for not being able to post at the moment, just a lack of time, not of interest . Hope to get back more soon.
Wearing a diluted Orange Flower essence.
Happy New Year to all my lovely basenotes friends! Thank you Quarry, for this delightful reunion!
I love my neighbors! They're nuts for fireworks like me, and we hooted and hollered across the pond and down the street at each other's offerings. Sigh, July 4th is so faaaaarrrr away!
I'm trying Aroma M's O-Cha today. The whole line is supposed to have a geisha/incense sensibility, and this one from '95 has green tea, bergamot, sweet orange (incense is the unlisted, but understood, component.) I have ten more of this line to go.
O-cha is lovely, the opening sweet orange rush is great, and it settles to a soft, balanced composition. I want it on a man's neck to snuzzle! It's not masculine, but I lob unisex scents over to the men. I've been sitting on this sample pack for months, unable to disturb the perfect presentation-- kimono wrapped vials.
Please, spritz responsibly.
I have layered L'Occitane Iris and Myrtle.
Terry, Rubes, Shycat, Die Schone Neufferin !
So good to see you all...
Welcome, new ones !
HOW COULD I FORGET PRINCE VIJAYJI ?
How are you, my dear?
And your family ?
Of course, you're wearing Black Aoud !
[And if I were near you, I'd bathe in Patchouli Leaves... I know how you love it !]
Wishing you a MUCH better year, dear man.

applied Musc Ravageur to my man and finally understand the beauty of this scent. It is much better on him than on me. First scent discovery of 2008.

"Like a lobster with a pearl in its claw, the beet held the jasmine firmly without crushing or obscuring it. Beet lifted jasmine, the way a bullnecked partner lifts a ballerina, and the pair came on stage on citron's fluty cue. As if jasmine were a collection of beautiful paintings, beet hung it in the galleries of the nose, insured it against fire or theft, threw a party to celebrate it. Citron mailed the invitations." Deep in the dark your kiss will thrill me

A blessed, peaceful New Year's wish for everyone; the homeless are in my prayers.
Went to a neighbor's party then to my Mom's late last night. Seattle Space Needle fireworks were a total flop, but in a highly amusing way.
Woke up a little late, but made it to a 5K run this morning - chose not to dip into Lake Washington as I didn't want to begin the new year with an arrythmia.
Perusing my Mom's perfume shelf, I found a mini of Burberry Weekend and that's what I'm wearing today!
Hi to all the new folks.
Laurence Dumont Vanille Violette, still left over from last night. Finished cleaning up after last night's dinner party with old friends today. I guess I didn't overindulge because no hangover today, and one bottle of champagne and one bottle of bordeaux left over!
Vetiver Oriental, by virtue of decanting some. Suits me just fine today. Happy New Year everyone!
Divine l'Homme d'Coeur.
Happy New Year everyone!
Got a late start today with Prada EdP this morning after some New Year's overindulgence.
Promptly showered and changed into Pomegranate Noir.
L'Air du Desert Marocain
Happy New Year!

Silver Mountain Water
Because of my cold and severely diminished ability to smell anything, I decided to wear Eau d'Hadrien since I know my mother likes this one.
Just now did one spritz of Poison on arm to try and sniff. I can smell it a little, and what I do smell, I like
Happy New Year to all!
A HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE!
I'm going into the new year 74 lbs. lighter than the last one, hoping to put the new found energy into good use on some long overdue changes in my life. Love and thanks to all you friends in the perfume community for keeping me going over the last four years.
SOTD: P.d'Empire Cuir Ottoman. Thought it was acrid at first...whiffs of petroleum, but it smells so good on a perfumista friend, I want to give it another try. Great sillage & longevity from just a few drops.
Happy New Year!

Was out of a shower and into my first scent of the year at about 5 minutes till midnight last night.
First wearing ever from an unopened bottle of Coty Chypre.
Sending BEMs scuttling back to Betelgeuse with my fierce fumage!
Last night for bed
I ended up in Fracas.
For the first day of 2008
I wore a long neglected
but much adored scent
And tonight I'm off to bed
wearing Keiko Mecheri Loukhoum.
Happy New Year my dear friends,
may this one be filled with joy, happiness,
good health and prosperity shared by all.

Just got in from travelling back from my hometown. Visited with family and friends for the new year.
I just slipped into Madame X for the evening.
Happy new year to all!
I'm simplifying my life. For Sale Thread (some niche, some designer):
Tao and PB7, glad to know you enjoyed the artwork in my earlier post. I was looking for something special with which to start the year.
Tonight, I was putting together a sample pack and chose a favorite from last year:
Maitre Parfumeur et Gantier Ambre Precieux
Just dabbed on some rose oil. All I want to smell right now are roses for some reason. Wish I had some real ones lying around.
Happy New Year to all - old, new, lurkers and returners alike - may 2008 bring you what you wish for.
Having heard Quarry's bright idea to get everyone posting their SOTD for January 1st I couldn't miss it, so I hope no-one minds me adding mine a day late.
I started the year in Jicky; it's something I've discovered via Basenotes and I've been surprised to find it's my absolute go-to scent - the one that I know will take me anywhere to do anything and that smells good from first spray to last lingering whiff. I've learned so much through this website and the most important thing I know is that I've only just scratched the surface of the subject. I'm looking forward so much to learning more in 2008 and I'm very glad to have such good guides and collaborators to learn from and with.
All good things to you all.
