Thread: Thierry Mugler!

    Default Thierry Mugler!

Just want to thank you guys for recommending this. What a kick ass fragrance. This will be the perfect day scent. Plus it looks like it can be had for a reasonable price online. Im a huge fan, and this will be a staple in my collection.

Must be Cologne as it is the only Mugler I can see wearing in the daytime. And I agree...it kicks much ass!

I'm guessing he means Cologne. My new favorite for daytime, got a great deal from Fragrancenet.com on a tester.

Can anyone recommend similar fragrances, i.e. if you like TM Cologne you will like..............??

Original Vetiver by Creed. I tried both and ended up buying OV because I got more longevity and sillage.

I can't seem to find the Cologne for a decent price online, must be too popular.

I should have added "for us Europeans"

I love the huge selections of primarily American webshops.

A splash is nothing more than a bottle without a spray nozzle.

You unscrew the cap, pour some into your hands, and splash it on, the old fashioned way.

Colognes traditionally came this way, and some still do.

Another huge fan of Mugler Cologne. I like the spray top. I'll eventually buy OV for better longevity--they both smell the same to my philistine nose.

It's cool that it comes w/ both tops, even the tester that I bought at Fragrancenet. I prefer the spray, but it's easy to swap, and the splash actually has a "mechanism" that opens a small hole, rather that the whole top coming off, so you cannot really spill it.

This stuff smells great, and the longevity for me is amazing for a "fresh", green fragrance.

If you want a somewhat similar (fresh leafy green) much stronger, smoother, and more masculine scent, I 2nd COV heavy.

Both drydowns are leafy and green, but I disagree with the comparisons saying they're the same.
Mugler's drydown is very clean and good, but the top notes are sour, synthetic, and lean feminine.
Like citrus dishsoap, and a girl's green bath-body spray.
Mugler's base is also very transparent and clean.
COV's got soap, but it's not synthietic dishsoap, it's rich, smooth shaving soap.
COV's citrus top is natural and not feminine, and the base is rich & creamy like most creeds.

They both do share a very similar leafy green heart note, so you'll probably like COV alot.

I too like Mugler Cologne a lot. It's been on my wish list for a long time and I guess I ought to be doing something about that... As others have stated Creed OV is very similar and an excellent choice as well if you want a green, grassy scent.

Are we talking *A* Men here?

  16. #16

    Default Re: Thierry Mugler!

Nope, we're talking just the "Cologne". It's a green liquid and can be seen in a screenshot in a previous post. I really enjoy this scent and if I hadn't just blown $250 on colognes last night, I'd snag a bottle of this and put it in my locker at the gym for wear at the office the rest of the day.

    Regs,
    Jeff
