Default Ginger-iest fragrance there is ...

As it seems seasonally appropriate ... what scent will leave me smelling like quite the Ginger-bread man I am?

Montale Ginger Musk? I've never tried it, jrd4t might have it for swap.

Also, Chanel Bois Des Iles has a Gingerbread note, and is marketed as for women but is very unisex. You might have to scour eBay for this one, it's kinda hard to come by.

Yes, Bois des Iles is the only fragrance I know which has a gingerbread accord.

Why not Cinnamon? When ever I am at the airport, the Cinnabon store calls to me.

Ginger Essence by Origins -- marketed as a women's frag, but easily unisex.
Lovely, sparkling, strong ginger zest here, with some vanilla but no syrup -- don't go in expecting confections.

I know it isn't really ginger, more like anise, but it does smell like a christmas cookie to me.

Bvlgari Blv and CerrutiSi are my two most gingery scents - but they aren't gingerbreadish though.

For gingerbread try Cartier's Essence Must de Cartier Pour Homme. It smells a lot like what you're looking for.

This is a bit obscure, but D. R. Harris HIS Cologne makes me smell exactly like a gingerbread man.
My current top 10: Richard James; Clive Christian No. 1 for Men; L'Artisan Voleur de Roses; Creed Aventus, Erolfa, Santal Imperial, Virgin Island Water, and Windsor; Serge Lutens Chergui and Gris Clair

Good recs, but i'd like to add Eau de Gingembre by Roger&Gallet and Carolina Herrera's Herrera for Men Refreshing Ginger.
These are 2 of my favorite gingers.

Ferrari #1 has a healthy dose of ginger, but it's not gingerbread-y at all. Maybe layered with Escada PH?

I should have read the thread title more carefully when suggesting Tabarome... gingery but NOT gingerbready at all..

For 'gingerbready' I would suggest Armand Basi Homme, Corduroy for men.. as designer options and Etro's Etra... as well

Indeed! This was the first thought in my mind.

For gingerbread, probably worth trying Guerlain's Aqua Allegoria Winter Delice, and CdG's EDP.

CB I Hate Perfume has a fragrance called Gingerbread. I'm assuming based on his other allegorical fragrances that this will be pretty true to life.

bront82 - I'm interested to see if you 'found' your gingerbread scent?

I'm wearing a sample of Un Crime Exotique by Parfumerie Generale today and (like ajmc recommended above) it is positively 100% gingerbread in the top notes. Cinnamon 'Red Hots'-like notes in the opening blast, but afterwards a sweet, doughy gingerbread accord appears and asserts itself quite strongly. Lovely.

well, to be honest, i was searching for just ginger, not gingerbread ... but i am certainly not opposed to smelling of gingerbread either. in fact, that seemed like quite a reasonable aspiration. i tried the chanel bois des iles, didn't do much for me. A few of the other recs don't quite do the trick. So, the long and short of it is, I'm still looking. Am very excited to Herrera's Refreshing Ginger ... but recently, I've been side tracked. Now, I want to smell like a carnation .... mmmmmmm, carnation!
