My delicious SotD is L de Lolita Lempicka, which is just lasting and lasting! It's layered on top of a vanilla body butter, and complimented with a caramel lipgloss.

Glad to know you're enjoying the sample. As for me, I'm going with smoked, leathery, musky vanilla:

Today, I'm wearing Mitsouko. Not my Mitsouko, not Mitsouko EDP, but a vintage sample kindly sent to me by TWolf. And I'm staggered by how different this is! I sprayed it on oh so carefully, prepared to wash it off at the merest hint of that 'off' smell I detest so much...and there wasn't a hint of it. Then I realised what I was smelling was so divine I needed more of it, so I sprayed more liberally. I know that even the dry-down on this will not 'turn' the way my own cheap version tends to do. I just can't get over how very different the various formulations of this perfume can be!

I'm slathered in Madame X body butter - the scent is strong enough for me not to need perfume, though I'll put some on when I go out tonight. I'm seeing a good friend for dinner.

I was going to be a 'webel' and wear Bandit edp today, since I have the Mothers and Toddlers group this afternoon. (I'm sorry; I'm just not good at group things. They make my soul itch ever so slightly, like a poloneck jumper with a teeny bit of scratchy wool in it.)
But now Riannon has reminded me of my beloved I'Eau d'Hiver, maybe I'll have to wear that. (And what could be more appropriate for Mums and Tots? It's so warm and cozy you could wear it to meet the Queen and have no fear of offending her nostrils.)

Oh my...sending wellness wishes to ComDiva...and glad TaoLady got back in...you all smell luverly today.

Is a Caron test day for me
Testing again this morning (since 4AM) : Caron: Poivre & Coup de Fouet
Not a fan of pepper (except on steak) and carnation isn't one of my floral favs either - these two are Pepper and Pepper Light. Don't think I will develop the patience to wait for the drydown and the Caronade - which is stronger in Poivre, but the pepper keeps hanging around. For those who do like spicy/peppery/carnation Poivre should be tried. I can appreciate the quality, and since I'm a Caron fan - the Caronade is not the problem - but I can see no reason to add these to my wish list.

Testing after I've washed these off:
    Lady Caron & Montaigne

Many thanks to the luverly ladies who "scent" these to me
Will pass them on to anyone interested in giving them a sniff.

It's a stunner, TWolf! But why, oh why doesn't every bottle smell like this? This is so reminiscent of Beautiful to me (I imagine those of you with real noses out there will be going 'whut?'...but it is to me so there). I haven't had even the merest *hint* of yuckness, and it's still going strong. I'm sad now, because I won't be able to buy a bottle of this divine stuff. It has to be vintage now, or nothing.

    Hi,
I just got to sample L'Eau D'Hiver on my sniffapalooza in Boston. It's by the great JC Ellena, but I'm having trouble with it... there are wonderful elements in it, but the mid-notes have a plastic quality that really puts me off. One of those scents where the concept is excellent, but I still don't like it. Maybe I'll change my mind later, as you did!

Interesting to hear so many Chergui fans. I LOVE that, but it doesn't last on me at all, so I have barely resisted buying it.
