Thread: Perfume Gods
If in some misguided cosmic moment, the perfume gods issued a decree that from this time forward only one fragrance could remain in production with all others banned for eternity, which one should it be?
Habit Rouge in the extrait.

Avon - Wild Country
So, that means everyone would be wearing the same fragrance?

If those Gods were doing this to punish mankind for the sins of the Mugler House then I would go for Angel Men.lol

Some kind of vetiver fragrance -- it suits almost every season and occasion -- perhaps Sycomore.

What I mention in this thread could be easily replaced as of tomorrow: I don't get married to perfumes.
Hmmmm, either GIT or Memoir Man come to mind although I'd love to have lots of others.
Is the juice worth the squeeze?
I would go with Chanel pour Monsieur (original) but only if those damn, heartless perfume gods could deliver a version that lasts for at least 8 hours and smells exactly the same as the original (no concentree version please, perfume gods). I'm not holding my breath. I fear that in 20 years, after continued mindless reformulations, restrictions on ingredients and cynical mass marketing campaigns, the only thing we will be left with is some horribly mutated fougere type juice that smells exactly like Tide unscented laundry detergent. Bone chilling to even think about...
Nothing. If only one man-made smell could be manufactured, how soon would I tire of it? Very soon.
Forget for a moment what the exact smell is, and focus on the idea of smelling it on every person, in every cleaning product, in every air freshener everywhere you go. Would you really want this fate for your favorite fragrance? I know I wouldn't.
If my choice is just one for everyone, I'd rather none at all... The world is full of nice smelling things anyway; I'd prefer nature's variety to a dystopian mono-fragrance ruling the world.
