Today I am glad to report that my initial impression of Guerlain Champs Elysees was oh so wrong! I wore it over a generic lemony body butter. While it didn't last on my wrists or any piece of exposed skin, it was constantly wafting from underneath my shirt! Compared to my super sweet fragrances that I usually wear I just felt mature and sophisticated today, while still feeling fresh and uplifted by this beautiful scent!

Really nice so far! I get a familiar Tauer opening, spicy and full with a hint of flowers (the rose, I presume). Then lots of myrrh in the drydown that make me think of Serge's La Myrrhe. The incense note isn't extremely prominent on me, but it does have a smoky quality. Quite a warm, complex and comfortable scent

    Arpege - Lanvin.
I have a like-dislike relationship with this one.

One moment I decide I like it because it is somewhere in the No 5 family (though not even remotely as smooth, high-end and refined) and next I catch a sniff of it on clothes I wore earlier and decide I hate it.
On clothes, it stays sharp, harsh, sour and hysterical.

I can't even decide if I like this fragrance or not.

SotD: My new frag, Narciso Rodriguez for Her EdP.

The longlivety of the EdP is good, it lasts over nine hours on my skin. I really enjoyed wearing it, as I for the first time understod why so many are comparing it with SJP Lovely. It is the EdP who is similar! - I have only tried the EdT and the musk oil before, and they are not at all the same.

SJP Lovely is not so longlasting, it is a bit more loud, and also more playfull. NRfH EdP is instead more elegant.

I don´t like the texture of SJP Lovely bodytlotion. But I can use both fumes with NRfH bodylotion! That bodylotion will be my next buy!

SJP Lovely was my big perfume-love during spring 2006...!

JLo Glow for me today. It always gets great comments. It's funny, but I found myself thinking today about all the expensive, niche fragrances I wear, that never get so much as a raised eyebrow - and then I wear a cheap, Celebrity-endorsed, High Street department store fragrance, and people rave about it.

    Fascinating.

Nothing like the bittersweet love for a vintage masterpiece. I feel this way with Mon Peche and Scandal. Sometimes the combination of beauty and the sense of loss is almost painful. I always tell myself that when my bottles are gone I may never smell these again and I usually wear them on days when I can truly savor them.
