Default Anucci - why did it take us so long to meet

I recently took it upon myself to purchase a bottle of this fragrance and it is just amazing. I can see how its sleeper in the fragrance world and like by those who own it.

Its a very floral scent against a rich amber background. Any other thoughts on this one.

A real sleeper, indeed -- a very pleasant, reasonably priced juice we don't hear enough about.
The frosted golf ball bottle is gimmicky but fun.

Yes the bottle is very kitsch - but should not judge the scent by it. Very long lasting with great sillage.

I also own this and like it, even the bottle. It does seem to be a fragrance that very few people are aware of.

It was perhaps a little bit ahead of its time with its strong florals and sweetness in a man's fragrance, but given that some popular new fragrances have those characterstics, maybe Anucci can forge a comeback.

I'm looking at it now - having a tough time getting past the golf ball though...!

I have a small sample... For some reason, I just can't get past that particular floral note. Definitely worth a shot though. This one last a very long time...

And I've used up my bottle, but not before reviewing it for the benefit of BN'ers and Western Civilization.

Come to think of it, apropos of Naed_Nitram's review; I did win $840 playing poker at The Commerce Casino while wearing it,

( I should have packed a Derringer and sported French cuffs)

    Golf balls?

I read this thread and just picked this up today as a result. I think it is a little unusual, not in that it is floral, but because of a kind of "grassy" note. I suppose you should expect this from a fragrance associated with golf: divots, chip shots, earth and grass smells all around, I guess.

Here are the notes from the Directory page, obtained by a devious route:

    Anucci Original
Top Notes: Citrus, Jasmine, Bergamot, Chamomile, Precious Woods
    Middle Notes: Patchouli, Lavender, Vetiver
    Base Notes: Musk, Amber, Oakmoss

Hmm, maybe that "grassy" note is the chamomile?

Ha! Recommended this one a couple of weeks ago to another Basenoter. Wonder if he actually tried it by now...

Anyway, I do like it a lot myself. Think it's quite unique. It always reminds me of a fresh, juicy pear.
