Default Why does Eau Savage smell like...

    This?

To be fair, I'm just referring to the opening blast, it goes away pretty quick but right at first it was really making me pine for the good old days. Anyone else catch this whiff on the opening?

Actually I'm trying a couple unused samples today. D'Orsay's Le Dandy is rather nice, though a bit rich for this time of year.

EDIT: Hotlinked with permission off of my personal webspace.

I've never tried Eau Savage, but, though I like it a lot, I think Hierbas de Ibiza smells a lot like Fruit Loops for a while as well. Maybe that's pretty common among some citrus-dominant scents.

Its probably the combo of rosemary, hedione (synthetic jasmine) and rose which conjures that fleeting candy like accord ..

I thought Eau Sauvage just smelled like lemon. Now M7 fresh smells like Fruit Loops

Well, I don't really have much to re-evaluate because the next time I went to smell it, it was gone. What the heck. Pretty much on the bottom of the list of things to purchase.

Eau Sauvage doesn't smell like Fruit Loops. Blenheim Bouquet and Town & Country smells like Fruit Loops, Trix and Fruity Pebbles.

I've never had the opportunity to smell Fruit Loops, so ...

Nah, didn't get that association at all.

For real Fruit Loops likeness, look to M7 Fresh as mentioned above.

Jasmine often has a tinge of Welch's grape juice to it. Perhaps, that's where your Fruit Loops association comes from.

Lostmarch Lann Ael smells like Froot Loops and milk.

Eau Sauvage smells like lemon zest and basil
