    Default Heliotrope craving

For some crazy reason I am having a craving for a heliotrope fragrance but I have no idea what to try. What are your suggestions?

Oh! I love heliotrope! It's one of my favorite notes ... and it is included in a lot of different kind of scents.

For Heliotrope in a starring role, you HAVE to try Etro Heliotrope. It also has some almond and vanilla and other yummy stuff to make it clean, airy, and almost ethereal feeling.

Other fragrances I enjoy that have at least some heliotrope include:

    Dolce Vita
    Jaipur Homme
    Jaipur Saphir
    Herve Leger
    L'Heure Bleue
    Cuir Beluga
Gucci Eau de Parfum (the brown juice one, the pink juice one also lists heliotrope, but I don't care for that one )
    I've trademarked the color bleu

I second Etro Heliotrope and Herve Leger!

Etro Heliorope as mentioned. It is a must. People of the Labyrinths Luctor et Emergo is also fab!

I second the Etro, and also recommend Ava Luxe's Heliotrope, much more reasonably priced than POTL, which I also love.

I just ordered a sample of Ava Luxe's Heliotrope and I have been looking at the Etro also. POTL is very near the top of my list of things I covet but I think I will try some of the more affordable options. Thanks for all of the suggestions everyone

I think it's the weather - I've been craving heliotrope this month too so I'll be looking out for these frags now *taking notes frantically*.

I can't get enough of my L'Heure Bleue these days. But you could also try Frederic Malle's L'Eau d'Hiver which is delicious. And - forgive me if I'm wrong, because I'm no expert - but I find Philosophy's Pure Grace very heliotropey (is that a word?).

Don't forget Serge Lutens's Datura Noir. Conspicuous heliotrope and almond notes at the heart!

I have a fetish for heliotrope.

Etro Heliotrope and as has been said LT Piver White Heliotrope are excellant.

    The older classic Guerlains
    L'Heure Bleu
    Shalimar
    Apres L'Ondee
All are big on the heliotrope.

MPG Secrete Datura has alot of heliotrope too.

Oh boy, PLEASE DON'T!! It lasts about 10 minutes! Ava Luxe's Heliotrope lasts much longer, especially in parfum. To my nose they are identical but Ava's is much more affordable!

I have no idea about the Ava Luxe, but Etro Heliotrope lasts a day on my skin.

Etro's Heliotrope is an absolute winner for me and it lasts all day on my skin.

I find Jour de Fete by L'Artisan Parfumeur quite similar to Etro's Heliotrope. The L'Artisan has an additional buttery feel that the Etro lacks, but they are very close IMHO.

Héliotrope Blanc de L.T Piver is the best IMO, cheaper than Etro and lighter, softer

Try Jaïpur Homme, esp. in the edp concentration -- heliotrope EXPLOSION here, and very wearable by members of both genders. Be forewarned, though: this stuff has the highest sillage per oz. that I've ever encountered.

I just ordered an Ava Luxe sample so I am holding off until I try it out. I may order a sample of the Etro also but I have talked myself out of a bottle for the moment

Are they similar? I am down to the last drops of POTL LeE, and would love to try something that wouldn't blow my budget!
