A fig and iris blend and a bay leaf and licorice blend.

Both sound great. Looking forward to trying them. I hope they've done a good job with these.

Although some of Jean-Paul Guerlain's releases around year 2000 were too fruity-floral for my taste (for instance Plus Que Jamais Guerlain), I'd really like to try Figue-Iris - same kind of manoeuvre as with Parure, which mixes plum with lilac, rose and jasmine? Of course, the latter one had oakmoss, but always interesting with a new Jean-Paul Guerlain!

I am interested in Figue-Iris as well, sounds like a nice combination.

Didn't Anisia Bella already have anise/licorice? Perhaps the new AA will be another variation on the anise note.

I'm all for any new iris scent, but I'm a bit worried that this one will be a fig-iris. I think Philosykos is the fig scent par excellance, and in comparison fig scents seem awfully banal--Fresh Index's fig/apricot one for example, and Marc Jacobs FM. Some of the AA series are great, but some aren't. I'm initially worried that this one will be one of the dull ones.

In case anybody missed it, here's a link to another bit of information about this.

OMG, fig and iris, a blend of two of my fav notes... milky, powdery, green, hesperidic and slightly woody and floral... sounds like I'm going to be addicted lol
