Default Candidate for Worst Spray Mechanism of All Time

I'm sure it's been mentioned before, but do let's be sure to place Nina Ricci's Mémoire d'Homme right up there alongside Bulgari Black as a leading candidate for the worst spray mechanism of all time. It's a fine juice, but OH what a terrible vaporizer!

I can't believe the negativity about the Bulgari Black sprayer (okay, mine hasn't broke yet). You just turn the thing to the 'on' position, and spray with *both* your index finger and your middle finger, to distrubute the force equally on the vapourizer button.

Christian Dior exclusive cologne range sprays, they simply pump out too much, and drip loads when swapping back with top so the bottle can be stored in the tube

I hate to be the first, but Creed's spray mechanisms are pretty unbalanced. When working properly they produce the most luxurious and fulfilling mist. When not working (which seem to be around a third of the time), the juice seems to just dribble out.

Creed is my favourite, but they have to do something about their sprayers.

The best sprayer, in my opinion, would have to be Dior Homme. Very touch sensitive--just the slightest tap releases just the slightest amount of juice--and no problems whatsoever.

Hmmm... my Bulgari Black's spray mechanism works just fine..
the worse in my opinion is the women's Michael (with the V-shaped sprayer). It's hard to press and when you finally get it to spray, it leaks all over the place.

The BEST by far is C&S No.88's mechanism. Its touch sensitive. Touch ever so gently and you got a controlled tight stream. Press normally and you have a fine mist.

Krizia per Uomo. The sprayer just plain SUCKS. It's more of a squirt of droplets than a spray. Very poor design.

    I agree with Bulgari Black.
The Creed sprayers would be great if they didn't leak.
Gendarme's bottles have some of the worst as well -- they don't spray where you want them to. Instead of spraying your neck, it will hit your chin and chest.

I second creeds sprayers are terrible, i own 8 creeds and only 2 of the sprayers work well. But the smaller 50ml creed bottle I have is the best by a mile. My Bulgari black sprayer is much better then most of the creeds i have (so far! )

Rush for Men by Gucci and Nu by YSL are both beautiful and horribly disfunctional - coincidence: both were done when Tom Ford was at Gucci / YSL. Thank goodness he's learned how to do better bottle/sprayers since.

I have a Yohji Homme bottle (sadly discontinued) which has a little...clamp thingy... that clips onto the atomizer top in place of a lid. It supposedly keeps you from accidentally depressing the atomizer top, I guess. But it is a pain to get off and ended up breaking after a dozen uses...

I'd have to go with Creed's sprayers when they don't work... the spray top on my Acier Aluminum came off (and won't go back on), and it also leaked about 2/5ths of the bottle, which majorly sucks.

    Dior Homme is pretty bad!

It comes out in a stream, not a mist. I checked one at a store and it did the same thing.

    Great looking bottle though.

not to mention the fragrance... he has really gone downhill in recent times... except for the price.

    Uomo? Moschino.

I have owned three bottles of this stuff and the metal cylinders at the bases of the spraying mechanisms always ends up leaking. Not the nozzles, but the cylinders that encase the bases of the nozzles --as if they're not sealed to the glass.

I ruined the finish on a (then) recently restored antique dresser top with my first bottle of this fragrance. I keep my fragrance bottles on a large sheet of decorative glass on the dresser top, but I had no idea the bottle was leaking so badly. So when I reached over the dresser to put the bottle away--KER SPLAAAAAT!

Agree on the Dior Homme, it comes out in a weak piss squirt, not a spray.

I haven't had problems with my Creed SMW or OV, but my MI, it leaked when I sprayed and it came out in streams.

Creed is at the top of my list for having the worst spray mechanisms.

Vote #2 for Gucci Rush for Men. Love the fragrance, not the bottle or sprayer.

I don't seem to have a problem with my Creeds [crosses fingers, knocks on wood].

My favorite sprayers provide half-mists with gentle application, full mists with full application. How hard can that be to engineer?
