Default Lacoste - Eau De Lacoste L.12.12 Noir

What do you guys think of this cologne? Has anyone tried it? I can't find any information on it. I really liked th Blanc version which is why the new Noir piqued my curiosity.

One hell of a weird notes list:

    Top notes: Watermelon
    Heart notes: Basil, French Lavender
    Base notes: Dark Chocolate

I know this is prejudice, but the fact is that Ive never found a Lacoste fragrance that I like. I hate them all.

The early Lacoste fragrance releases IMO when production was done in France were the best offerings. They have gone downhill since then.

I agree with this completely. But I have to admit it's an interesting list of notes.

    Top: watermelon
Mid: Egyptian basil, lemon verbena, lavender
Base: dark chocolate, coumarin, cashmeran, patchouli

I was looking at this on Fragrantica, and was so stoked to see a top note of watermelon.. then I looked down at the notes after it and found myself scratching my head. This is either gonna be really good, or really bad.

Top note of watermelon sounds great!
The middle notes sound like they could work well together, I absolutely love verbena notes!
The base notes all work well together, being resinous, dark, and maybe a little dirty, while balanced out with the sweetness of dark chocolate (if they nail it right?)
But, the combination of top middle and base sound like a horror story..

I also liked the L.12.12 Blanc, but have yet to see the Noir in stores. I agree that the combination of notes seems odd. Watermelon with chocolate? Ick.
