Default Looking for light almost non-existent fresh scent...

I am looking for a scent that is light, almost non-existent. I would like something sexy and clean smelling. Citrusy is ok but I don't want any of the Gendarme or TM colognes or anything to sweet ie: Le Male/Angel for men.
The key is something so light that the other person has to be so close to smell it,and that the smell will make them want to get even closer.

I know it sounds off the wall, but to many people wear way to much of there scent and you can small them 25 feet away.

    Maybe Lanvin Homme.

    Any suggestions

Try some of the Roger & Gallet eau de colognes: Jean Marie Farina, Bouquet Imperiale, Gingembre for something a little more spicy; they're quite charming, classical unisex mixes of citrus and florals.

    Non-existent? L'Antimatiere by Le Nez.

Seriously though, you might want to try Eau Sauvage by Dior. Classic, citrusy, with a very light and masculine drydown. Another would be Bulgari pour Homme. A light, refreshing musk with tea. Soft, yet masculine and sexy.

Citrus Bigarrade is so non-existent that I have to put my nose to my wrist just to smell it after an hour. This is one scent that compels me to carry an atomizer in my pocket when wearing.

Surprised no ones mentioned Bvlgari pour Homme yet.
Very clean, a bit of white musk + tea in the drydown, and you have to be very close to actually smell it

Most of the recommendations are nice & light.

But there's only one which nearly does not exist...
...no notes I've been able to detect yet...
    ...literally, I can't smell it...

This may vary from person to person. I tried on Issey Miyake L'Eau D'Issey today on both my inner elbows. I can still smell it, but it's really faint. It starts off aquatic, kinda woodsy, and synthetic (that's why I thought it smelled really gross when I sniffed a freshly sprayed piece of test paper), but it dries down to be softly soapy and citrus when I tried it on skin. Some people say it's a loud aquatic and citrus scent, so I would assume it CAN BE what you're looking for if you take it easy on the sprays. I hope that helps.

Sometimes I really want people around me to smell me (within a few feet), but there are times when I just wanna smell nice and have whatever I'm wearing stay close to my skin.

Yes, I agree. Which is why I'm so sad I spent $20 on a bottle of Kanon.

Perhaps it would fit the bill nicely in this case though.

No need to feel sad atrac ....
After all it is a EDC - Cologne , most of those mentioned above would be EDT's .
& at $20 bucks is a bargain really !! ... Considering its 4 & 5 times cheaper than most of the ones mentioned above .... & perhaps smells a lot better than many of those as well .
Seeing your sadness is that my SOTD isn't the sillage monster you want it to be why don't you try some of the "Secrets to Sillage" ... it will double the longevity of it for you ...... or just get Bogart ... its Kanons big bold alter ego !!

The obvious solution here is to decant some distilled water into a sprayer, and wear that. The scent is entirely undetectable, yet brings with it a freshness that is absolutely natural, and is neither sweet or sharp. It has pretty good sillage.. but keep in mind that the scent is so light it can't be smelled at all, so you're sure not to offend. Longevity is rather poor, though, so you might want to carry a mini-sprayer with you and refresh as needed.

I was thinking of that, too.

I was impressed by the hygiene standards in Japan - it seems they control their scent and smells pretty well and tend towards "light and fresh" - rather than "heavy and animalistic."

Speaking of which, CdG "#3" might be an interesting try.

I have to agree here. I think you can really wear anything but application is the key. One spray or a mist in the air and walk through application may be your ticket.
Otherwise, you can find all the light and fresh, lasts a few minutes, cool breeze, etc. etc. scents you want but I don't think they're gonna satisfy your craving for something "sexy", or get much positive attention from anyone no matter how close they come to you.

Well a skin scent that is "light and fresh" - low sillage - but lasts most of the day isn't a bad goal.

(Doesn't mean all those aquatic accords and ozonic accords in my mind anyway)

Paul Smith Extreme. I don't know why it's called Extreme.

It smells like driftwood that's been dried out in the sun for days, while still retaining some of it's oceanic properties. Very light and stays close to the body.

Every time I wear it, at first my girlfriend thinks I'm wearing nothing until she hugs me. Then she'll say something like "Oh you're wearing that!" followed by...well, you get the picture.

The scent grows richer, he knows he must be near
He finds a long passageway lit by chandelier
Each step he takes, the perfumes change
From familiar fragrance to flavours strange
A magnificent chamber meets his eye
