Thread: What would Sweeney Todd wear?
My first thought was Black Aoud.
My first thought was something cheap and barbershop-y. In the 1840s, only poor men went to get shaves (and haircuts) at a barbershop. Wealthy men usu. owned a set of razors (kept sharp by a manservant, who also cut hair) which they used to shave themselves.
I think Sartorial brings out a barbershop vibe, although it's more complex and elegant.
"...her fragrance all in my keeping; softly she comes in the night." Lyrics, Gordon Lightfoot, "Softly."
SECRETIONS MAGNIFIQUES definitely has a blood thang going on. But you probably wouldn't want to buy it...get a decant from perfumed court!
My Top 5!!!
1. 1740: Marquis de Sade, Histoires de Parfums
2. 1899: Ernest Hemingway, Histoires de Parfums
3. Tirrenico, Profumi del Forte
4. 1969, Histoires de Parfums
5. Derby, Guerlain

Wow... I'm shocked we've come this far without a mention of Burning Barbershop! Maybe the mob burned Lovett's pie shop to the ground after discovering what she and Sweeney were up to. It certainly fits into the fragrance's backstory.
After researching the character:
Layering OR applied on different areas (whichever works best):
Narcissus (Yardley) -- yeah, I know it's marketed to females.
You're gonna have to trust me on this.
I wonder if the OP can remember back that far.
Besides Body Odor and an ostentatious hat ?
