Mackie for Men smelled like a huge fruit powder puff. I didn't quite get the feeling of Stardust from it. Mackie's a good scent I think!
I just tried Mackie For Men by Bob Mackie and sprayed the back of my left hand. Whoa..Instant Stardust for Men scent memory exploded! Anyone else tried both and get the similarity?
Incidently, Albertson's locally here in southeast Florida and I believe also nationally has the discontinued Mackie For Men 1.7 oz spray at $11.99. I am stocking up!

Just saw this thread randomly pop up and just had to comment on, not the colognes, but Albertsons! We have several in my area and they do not carry colognes of any kind that I can see. I have seen other people mention frags @ Albertsons as well. What section of the store do you find them?
Thanks!

They sell fragrances in the Tampa Bay Albertsons also.
Each store is different. From the ones I've seen, some have a fragrance cabinet (locked) in one of the aisles (near lotions/cosmetics). Some have the cabinet in the front of the store (near the service desk).
They do have some really good deals sometimes.

hmmm to me Mackie for men was a rip off of Herrera for men to my nose. I do recall Mackie having a very short life on the skin while Herrera lasts all day with great sillage.
In college in the late 80s, early 90s my girlfriend wore Bob Mackie for women, which is still to this day one of the most enchanting and incredible sillage perfumes out there. Anyways, she got me Mackie for Men and I loved it back then but it has been that long since I wore it. I thought it was good stuff. I don't about the other one to compare it to.

I like Mackie for Men... it's in the tradition of those 'dry fruity masculine' fragrances you find at stuffy old men's clothing shops. Only lasts 2-3 hours on my skin, tops, though.
