Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, and sorry I could not travel both and be one traveler, long I stood and looked down one as far as I could to where it bent in the undergrowth; Then took the other, as just as fair, ...... Montale
    Soleil de Capri
    (2003)
    Pierre Montale

Notes: Citrus, Grapefruit, Kumquat, White Flowers, White Musk, Mediterranean Spices
Fresh citrus and white flowers with musk and spice in the base. This is a restorative on a warm day, and a very bright and optimistic scent. It doesn't pull any punches. If you're looking for a watery, well-behaved citrus floral, this isn't it. If you want to fly the flag, though, it's your baby!

I found it (still 3/4 full)! - a long neglected sample from my earliest "CdG days" from over a year ago.

It is cold, wet, and windy here, but I'm tired of wintery comfort scents. I crave lightness and stimulation of a different nature.

Today I'm wearing Un Parfum de Charmes & Feuilles by The Different Company, nose Celine Ellena.
Notes: marjoram, pepper mint, sage, serpolet, jasmine sambac, grapefruit, clementine, patchouli.

I've never seen serpolet as a listed note before. It is sort of wild thyme.

Guerlain's Héritage - EdT on the hairy part of my arm, EdP on the other. Love the difference between them - how the EdT is more 'open' and 'transparent' - with more coriander perhaps? And the density of the EdP, the warm, red cedar wood. And the sweetness of the pink peppercorns - and of course the vanilla, Guerlain's masterly way of treating vanilla...

Then it goes to patchouly-amber side and reminds me light feminine Prada - I wear it with laughter!

    Eau d'Italie
    Paestum Rose

This is such an interesting scent. Sometimes I wear it and find it ordinary and not much more. Other days, like today, I find it a fabulous rose with lots of interesting things going on. I haven't quite been able to decide if it's bottle worthy yet...
