This is an outstanding fragrance - a parfum essence and quite pungent!
Unfortunately, I have not been able to find any information about its history or note pyramid.
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, and sorry I could not travel both and be one traveler, long I stood and looked down one as far as I could to where it bent in the undergrowth; Then took the other, as just as fair, ...... I shall be telling this with a sigh somewhere ages and ages hence: Two roads diverged in a wood, and I -- I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference. - Robert Frost

I looked all over, but couldn't find a pyramid for this one. I suspect it's lemon, herbs, lavender, woods and a touch of leather scent and perhaps spice. So, a little smoky, a little leathery (birch tar?), but mostly herbal and citrusy. This is edgy enough to be bracing, but not enough to be annoying. The best thing about it its is straightforwardness. It gets to the point and keeps to it. It is not linear; rather, it develops quite nicely. Even so, it sticks to its theme and is consistently lemony.

Of which I have tried, this is still definitely my favourite one from Ellena. A mainstream success, that is "underrated"(?) among many frag-heads.
Ladies love this one, and the most importantly, so do I.

Expecting another long and hot day - Terre d'Hermès sounds quite perfect to me

feminine topnotes married to masculine basenotes. Weird.
I'm in Dior Homme (Olivier Polge). Dry, slightly leathery, iris and peach. I don't get any lavender. The dryness tempers the sweetness to provide balance. There is a whiff of plastic about it, but it has enough goodness going on that it doesn't matter. I like it slightly better on someone else, and even better just from the bottle, but I'm still happy to wear it. It was a perfect choice for me this morning.
I'm coming down with a cold and might not bother with fumes for the next few days if it gets any worse.
SotE is now L'Occitane Vanilla - whilst at L'Occitane we asked if they had vanilla fragrance and they pointed me to the home fragrance. Sprayed a little on the back of my hand - I likey! If only it came as an EdT/EdP Does anyone wear home fragrance on skin???
Guerlain, HERITAGE, EdT

Jillsy - L'Occitaine definitely used to have a vanilla edt. Some online searches might produce some.
Lovely summer day here again and I'll be in my Eau d'Hermes to go to the Mai Markt in town. (May Market - no idea what this is but the Klaus Market at xmas was great, so...)
Have a great day all.
