Default The best "sweet Gourmand" scent for men?

The best "sweet, gourmand" scent for men in your opinion.
I think ST Dupont Noir, Casran Choppard, Armand Basi ph, and V Valentino come to mind...

    Define "best."

    Then define "sweet."

JPG - Le Male is the first one I thought of. Also, Chanel Allure Homme Sport is great.

From what I hear, Habit Rouge is also sweet, but I've not smelled it yet.

Nicole Miller - while it lasts. Ignition by Lomani does last. Samba Kiss (men). Corinto Silver is too sweet, but that may be because there's not enough of anything else going on. Of course, if you want a sweet chocolate, there are several to choose from.

I like Rochas Man and Hana Mori quite a bit.

I haven't done a lot of sampling in this category though.

I'm not a big fan of this type of scents, but to me Rochas Man and Lomani Ignition are both excellent. Sweet without being cloying and quite inexpensive too.

The EdP version is the gourmand for me. The bitter cocoa beans and dry nature of it make it a very masculine gourmand.

Allure ph doesn't really strike me as a typical gourmand, although I once got a compliment that I smelled sweet as honey when I was wearing it. I agree that the EdP version of Guerlain L'Instant pour Homme is an excellent gourmand well worth having if you can find it.

Seconding Hanae Mori HM if you want a splash of citrus in your gourmand, but if you're going for pure sweet-tooth love nothing really touches A*Men.

The thing I didn't like much about New Haarlem is that it's too close to smelling like something I want to eat. Instead, I prefer frags that hint at edibility without going all the way to me thinking that there's an actual food item in front of me. Anyone else feel that way?

I don't like saying 'the best'. My knowledge is extremely limited. But Serge Lutens Fumerie Turque is a very nice sweet/smokey scent, you may call it gourmand.

    I'll also recommend:

    Rochas Man (best coffee scent...)
Carlos Santana for Men (cinnamon, incense, patchouli)
Guerlain l'Instant (both versions, but especially the EdP) (dark chocolate)
    Lolita Lempika au Masculin (anise)

    Plus I'll add these:

    Serge Lutens Rousse (cinnamon dry)
    Animale Animale (chocolate and lavender)
    Body Kouros (anise)
Cartier Declaration Intense (more chocolate, but subtle here)
Burberry Red (vanilla, but maybe a bit feminine...)

Don't know about "best" and this is not my preferred style, but I'd like top point out a hidden gem: Identité by German label René Lezard. A boozy-caramel gourmand which is, amazingly, not excessively sweet.

If Borneo counts as sweet, that's the ultimate for me.

That's what I was about to say.... Pure Coffee is truly a wonder. I mean, it smells like either a coffeehouse or a mocha/vanilla latte depending on where in the development you are. It doesn't sound like something overtly gourmand could be so enchanting, masculine, and wearable, but it absolutely is. Worth paying full price from one of the few authorized outlets (ie Nordstroms, Dillards).

Dior Homme is quickly becoming one of my favorite gourmand fragrances. It's so fragile and rich, I find myself wishing that DH was some form of spiked coffee drink (a la Hot Chocolate with vanilla Baileys, or something) because I'd sip it.

Oh, I forgot one ... Ambre Narguilé, Hermes. Notes of spices, biscuit, amber, vanilla. This one is perfect to wear in winter on a Xmas Market.

Ambre Narguile. I absolutely adore this stuff, nothing else comes close for me.

Most on these suggestions are not just "for men" though. If a gourmand is all foody notes, and doesn't have any floral notes for instance, then anyone could wear them.

Supposedly everyone rants about how sweet and how much of a girl magnet it is. also, have you smelled Chocolovers? It is for the ladies, but can guys wear it too? I have yet to smell ! Thanks

Oh man! I love gourmands--well sweet scents anyway. I don't have a lot of experience with niche frags because they are usually too expensive for me. And the girls here in So Cal tend to prefer fresh scents. These aren't all gourmands but I love: Le Male, Pure Malt and Pure Havane (haven't gotten a chance to try Pure Coffee), Dior Homme Intense, Rochas Man, Body Kouros, L'instant de Guerlain Extreme, H.M.

Haven't tried Pi in many years but I remember thinking it was too sweet. Now that I love this stuff, I gotta check it out again.
