Default Similarity between M7 and Azzaro visit

I did some research and found that Visit by Azzaro has similar drydown as M7.
I already have M7 and enjoy it very much.
My question is, are they strikingly similar that buying Visit when I have M7 would only be a waste or are they different enough that I should own both bottles?

    Thanks Bn'ers

They are not as strikingly similar, that buying both of them would be a waste of cash.

Visit never softens up the way M7 does, and the notes are clearly different. Get both. I did and I would not want to be without both.

I really don't think they are similar at all. Go ahead and get both.

I Agree, i think the two are very different scents, Visit is, to me, a very very dry and Woody frag, while m7 is a medicinal/herbal Woody scent. m7 dries down to a sweetened wood, and visit stays woody almost until its last dying breath.

so yeah, the two are different enough.

I don't see the similarity either.

Visit is just like Gucci Rush and Lacroix Tumulte - but even more synthetic.

I Like visit and how it stays on your for forever, but to me it's pretty linear and could get tiring, for the same effect, I would suggest Gucci Pour Homme or Dirty English.

i can┤t see any similarities btw both either. Both are long lasting, "heavy" for the teenagers, but visit is hot and have cedar like lolita lempicka and lalique equus. M7 is a unique scent too but you┤ll notice the agarwood and a smooth dry down... Actually i love both... the smell they let on clothes are pleaseant too!

What is the research you speak of? If it's reading other people's reviews... Well, that would hardly be conclusive. Faint similarities is what I get. It's sort of like having the same destination, but taking two different paths to get there; one is much more scenic than the other.

To my nose, nothing smells remotely like M7.
I've got a bottle, but I'm not overly fond of it.

Nowadays, I can perceive a lot of differences between them.

However, about 3 years ago, when I was getting introduced to Basenotes, I tried the two scents about the same week and, YES, they smelled very alike to my nose, in the top to middle notes. So, it's not a sin, and I surely can see what you're talking about.

As I remember, M7 is dominated by a synthetic and medicinal oud, and Visit is basically synthetic cedar and nutmeg. So, there's a synthetic woody/sweetness in both that can make a resemblance.

I really don't remember either one reminding me of the other
but I would definitely say they are in one way shape or form similar
    I really enjoy both
